I couldn't log in using my old profile. However, I have been following this thread. I haven't received my approval yet and no help when speaking to Tier 2 agents. I called to expedite the case since what was going on in Ukraine on the Martial law, I feel like that might have made it even worse. They requested evidence which I have since faxed over. Still no word yet. NOA 1 5/31/2018. :(

Some of the other VJers might be able to address your issues, but I tend to agree with you you may have compounded the issue. USCIS rarely  gives up expedited K1s.

However it's possible I suppose.

It takes time to process anything with USCIS. You may have a good case but now you must just wait. They maybe talking amongst themselves if they will offer expedited cases to Ukrainians so until they complete that they probably have put all Ukrainians expedited cases on hold for now. Calling is not going to move your file forward any faster. Just my experience.

It is what it is now, I just was getting impatient seeing all the June approvals and me not able to do anything. I was told to expect an answer within 2-3 weeks about the expedited case, which was Wednesday. I know that calling wont speed anything up but I cant help it. I call them while waiting in traffic, cause nothing else to do.

I do understand truly I do, but when a person is not out of processing  yet they seem to use that as a lever to not help you at least in my case. Im waiting even though difficult until im out of processing which is very soon. Then I'll see what excuse they use then. Best to aviod the June  thread or ANY thread pass your month. Visiting there adds extreme anxiety and stress. Set your expectations low that's  all I can offer as far as advice at this point. Again the folks here that are still waiting feel your frustrations.

Yeah I went to the June thread because I guess I'm June 4th (new site) or June 5th (old site) even though the old site says they received my case on May 31. So......yeah, lots of people way past me getting approved. I'm probably going to be a while because I know in the past I have had background checks and a traffic violation comes up as a hit. When I did Global Entry they called me about it and I explained that it was a traffic violation and they told me I would need to get a copy of the court records if they were not able to get any information about it. Thankfully they did and I didn't have to go to the courthouse. So even though you might think your background is squeaky clean a donkeyhole city can put something on your record that slows it down.

Traffic violations I don't know what to say about that,  but I sutter to think that would hold a background check up.  The I-129F  did not ask how many tickets you had.  Now being arrested in addition  to that traffic  violation is another thing.

I think the vagueness and hidden process is causing unfair and unethical things to be the reality of the process. Hang in there NOA2 waiters

Sorry for this unrelated question. Does anyone know the thread for JULY 2018 K1 filers? Can you give me the link please. Thank you so much. Stalking job LOL

You'll find this link at the top of this thread K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports . You can see many of the threads with the title having a month in it. If you can keep your anxiety in check sometimes you can find little nib lets of information that will help you along the way. Or if you are extremely frustrated then @Sarge2155 gives a good recommendation.

hi everyone

i just found this thread and would love any feedback/opinion/help

my gf and I have been together for 5 years and a couple months

she has lived in the UK for the past 12 years but is not a UK citizen

I am a US citizen born and raised

Unfortunately, i cannot do the cr-1 visa due to my dental school schedule and i don't have enough days.. not sure if there is any other visa option besides the fiance visa..

so we are planning to do the k1 visa...

1) is it better to get a lawyer and do this?

2) im not technically making an income right now, but can i use my parents income to file the visa? or can i show how much money i receive in student loans to live off?

3) any specific month better than another when filing the visa?

4) please and thanks to every single one of you. i cannot wait for this long distance relationship to end hopefully!

i dont know how much that has to do with it or maybe it depends on what the records consist of (misdemeanor vs felony/ how old they are/ etc). I have a record from when i was young and stupid and it didn't hold it up any. i included the most recent court disposition cause i had it, but not the others. I did include a letter addressing the issues in my past, and relating the conversation paul and I had about it, so maybe that made a difference.

There really is no rhyme or reason, it seems sometimes. We are keeping our fingers crossed for you sarge ((((hugs))))

1) lawyers tend to cause more problems than they are worth. If you can read and follow instructions and are detail oriented, this is not complicated. read read read and read more on here. read things you dont think apply. Retain all that information. if in question about anything, ask before submitting.

2) for the initial K1 you do not need to provide financials. Your parents can co sponsor if needed at the time of interview and for AOS

3) no

For what the online inquiry about your case is worth, meaning whether you get any status (useful) status on your case when you inquire, if you did not know filers with NOA1 receipt dates BEFORE May 5th are officially out of the "so called " processing and may inquire about their case. To be on the safe side and not  risk being told  you are still in processing I would use the new site date instead of the old site. The out of processing date is located on the USCIS website and is readily available, it also changes every couple of days. It's only another  matter of waiting  for your new site date to lapse. My date is May 11 I'm 207 days in as I post this.

I knew it would take a while to hear something when I started this process but I didn't expect to be waiting this long 206 days later and still nothing😔. Maybe someone will give us good information and not a generic answer once we're outside of the normal processing time.
