It helps a bit to not come here so much like in the beginning, I'm not really in the festive mood these days to much, I'm sure you can relate. Like you said waiting impatiently....

I can definitely relate I'm right behind you with 201 days. Yes it does because seeing all the approvals and I'm still waiting only stresses me more.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that would make things slower for almost everyone.

There are still a decent number of people without NOA2 from April, a non-trivial number from March, and a handful from earlier months. And while there's no obvious reason why some cases take so long going by what people post there, it's really unlikely that USCIS just puts a few cases on the shelf and forgets about them for no reason. Whether they're willing to say... that's another matter entirely.

I wonder how many of those older cases awaiting NOA2 were never updated or they withdrew the petition.

See what I mean you are trying to figure out what's wrong with your case. Don't beat yourself up to much I know you will still do it, but it will give you the same result and you still won't really know why.

Lol you’re right @Sarge2155.  My fiancé and I are both like what did we forget?  Is it his ex military background.  Is it because I have two children that will be part of the process?.  Did we miss something?

Who knows, all I know it is very disheartening to see people lag behind myself included. The thing that stresses me the most is thinking will my case linger on and on like I have seen several couples reach 300+ even 400 days, that's the most stressing right there.

I was thinking that same thing especially about the December 2017 cases, but it does not matter it only shows how far back and how long some people are or have waited.

There's no way to know the breakdown, but most months seem to level off with about 25-30% of VJ timelines missing an NOA2 (about the same percentage of timelines have an NOA2 for Dec, Jan, and Feb). I suspect the overwhelming majority of them are people who created a timeline then never updated it, but that's just guessing. There are undoubtedly some still waiting, some withdrawn petitions, and some who weren't able to successfully respond to an RFE or were otherwise denied.

I am only 188 days and feel completely stressed out.  @Sarge2155 i completely understand your thought and at the same time for me feel so discouraged with this process.  If we wanted it to drag out like this the I130 would and could have been perused.  I think if one does not offer much quickness...its sad.

I  sit, as we all do,  and no long asked helpful questions because we are just here...my only encouraging words for us NOA2 waiters ...keep waiting is good spirits.  Look past this holiday and be consoled that hopefully next christmas will be differently spent with our loved ones.
