So, for those that have experience (Greenbaum?).... looking for a little advice/"fingers math" - RFE coming in my case, looking to rebook her flight to a reasonable date (currently an impossible 12/24) - would early February be about right as a "safe-enough" date?  Her flight is booked using points, so I guess I'd be out only about $100 to make the change.

Thank you for your post. It was insightful as well as packed with civility. I miss those days.

To answer your question. It's recommend that you don't quit your job, or book your flight till you have your visa in hand. I have seen this go bad for many people that they experienced a long wait or mistakes with their visas.

If your change only cost you $100 and you don't mine the expense then book with what you think is right. Use these tools to find others from the Philippines and follow their visa patch and this should give you a good idea how long it's taking from interview to receiving the passport timeline. The PI is usually within days of interview that the beneficiary receives the passport w/visa. But just the same follow the timelines.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture, there is a link to your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group (PI) to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

Looks like our NOA2 is on its way (for unrelated reasons, I have that thing where the post office sends me photos of my incoming mail). Hoping it's the all-clear!  We received NOA1 on May 16, almost exactly 6 months ago.

For my fellow Canadian K-1s.. do you think we ought to start the police check process now, since it takes some weeks?  And if I understand correctly, my fiancee can't schedule her medical until the embassy interview date is set?

With the advent of receiving the NOA2 I recommend that you move over and get to know those who are on the Canadian website here on VJ where you'll be part of the Embassy discussions. Link is below.

You can't hurry it along at all. You have to wait for P3 which takes 2-4 weeks from Ready. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actually one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation. Get your medical appointment first so you can schedule the interview shortly afterwards.

Congrats! is the NOA1 date from the new website? I have 3 different ones. The old website says it was received 5/31 and the last action 6/5 and the new website shows it was received 6/4.

I just put the received and notice dates from the paper NOA1; the old site always showed the received date for me and the new site always showed the notice date. Last week I changed my timeline to the notice date because I was thinking I was getting an overly optimistic timeline and wanted to try and dial back expectations.
