Agree completely. My fiancee' was denied a tourist visa 2x early this year because she (by US standards, or comparative Kuwaiti standards) is below the poverty line by a lot, and she spends every penny she has to put her youngest brothers through high school and pay for their moto.

I think she is caught in a little despair/doubt right now, thinking that we are going to go through this whole process only to end up crushed with another pink piece of paper from the consulate. Not really sure what I can do in the meantime except reassure and bring chocolates. Open to ideas and suggestions... Already ordered her a "1st winter coat" for her, delivering soon.

From New York and we had snow the state wasn’t prepared for all that snow which left a lot of people and kids stranded also a lot of traffic and accidents

Haha yes I guess about 1 inch at the house, plenty of friends posted photos on FB.

I'm TDY overseas right now and it's been nothin' but severe floods in the gulf region. 2 nights ago Kuwait had 1 thunderstorm equal to their annual rainfall... most of the roads turned into car-carrying rivers, 2 days of public holidays declared.

Filipino's are very family oriented. And when you take them from that "security blanket" they get very nervous. Just assure her that there is Jolly Bee's:D in Newport Beach area and you will take there whenever she gets the craving. Also, I don't' know where you will be living in VA but if it is in Newport Beach area there are 100's of Filipinos living there so she will strike up new friendships. Be sure to have warm clothing for her including warm shoes/boots. Flip flops is not the best in snow. :D Be sure to have a rice maker and her favorite rice. There are some Filipino TV stations that you can get for her. Also, if she can talk to friends and family back home with video, it will help. Good luck.

Thanks @Greenbaum ! We're up north, about a hour outside of DC.  Her father's cousin lives on the Eastern Shore and we've made those connections online... "long lost family" actually, she didn't know where they moved to in the US years ago.

1 pr of boots ordered... haven't broken down for UGGs yet but ask again in a week if the UGGs are inbound.  We joking started work on her "Basic starter kit" with a trip to the local Starbucks for her 1st PSL. 😄

Absolutely adore that you’re arranging winter coats and boots for you’re partners ☺️

Even though I’m from the UK and very used to winter I was in no way prepared for my first winter in the US a couple of years ago! My very first weekend there was a huge snow storm 😂 Needless to say I went out and got snow boots as soon as we were no longer snowed in, and they’ve seen plenty of snow since then!!

So how do you figure that people have interviews scheduled 6 weeks after NOA2 if it takes 6 weeks to get a case number by phone?

Correct me and please let's stay focused...we are here to exchange info, experience and long an short to assist each other. Left here are your frustrated, eager and a bit discouraged bunch...at least I speak for myself. Answers I believe should be given without sarcasim or horribleness. I maybe sensitive but when I ask for help, I know the answers help others. I beg kindness please.

With that said we are soon starting week 3🙄.

I called to her I'm to continue waiting without my case not assigned but no RFE. I too am buying winter gear for my love because he will be here in the winter months for sure!

Chin up guys...we will hear soon.

I agree 100% @Sabrina02 seems my case is in the same boat. From Jamaica to New Jersey that's going to be some change for him. I was stationed at then Fort Dix NJ back in the early 80s and from what I remember it was veryyyyy cold and snowy there.

Hello. I’ve been watching timeline updates and noticing people who filed their I129 after me (May 21) receiving their noa2 before me. Even a few June ones getting them. Does anyone know if that is normal for USCIS to not process cases in order by date received like they say they do? Anyone else from May 21 or earlier still waiting?
