Focus on the relationship, not the process.  Our K-1 took 270 days.  Once you get NOA2 all that stress just goes away and you now have the stress of getting everything together for the interview!  Seriously, this will happen and when it does it really doesn't matter how many days it took.  Relax and stay focused on your loved one.

Thank you, It’s just getting harder to wait more. The last time I saw him was September 2017. Saving the money to visit and meet my family after the process. It doesn’t matter how long the process is. I just want to be with him soon 😞 but like what he wanted, he will visit after the process. So frustrating it’s been 14 months. But I’m glad we do videocall twice a day and chatting all the time. The connection still there and nothing is change 😊. You are right sorry for being impatient 🙂

Don't be sorry!  This whole process truly sucks!  It is just out of our hands.  I've seen too many good couples break up because of the stress from the process.  You will make it.  It is funny how all that stress goes away the second you see your NOA2.  It was like the wait never happened.  That wait stress is replaced by the "get all the papers together" stress which is followed by the "interview" stress which is followed by the "POE" stress which is followed by the "wedding" stress followed by the "now I live in a strange place with strange customs" stress followed by peace and harmony.  LOL  The only important thing that is with you during all this is the love of your partner.  Keep that as a focus and nothing else matters.

We have seen that sometimes they will renew a form that expires and we have seen it continue to be used until such time as a new form is release. In any event, they will most likely use the start date of the new rendition of that form and they will tell you when they will discontinue a form. All updates to forms can be tracked here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms-updates  If you see a form that will soon expire and it may expire after it's intended use (Embassy interview) then it's best to wait till you are closer to your interview.

 

All previous editions are accepted anyway. The OMB (Office of Management and Budget) expiration date only matters internally for the USCIS. That expiration date has nothing to do with whether or not it will be acceptable for you to use. The edition date is what matters. The accepted edition dates for the forms are listed on the site where the forms can be found and downloaded. The I-134 states this. > https://www.uscis.gov/i-134

We are approved! 

 

NOA1 - May 31 (new) / May 25 (old) 

NOA2 - November 13 (new) / no update (old)

 

Received an email that action had been taken on our case bright and early this morning. This was earlier than we were expecting based on averages on VJ and on recent Canadian cases, so yay! 

 

It’s a massive bonus that we are currently together and got to open the website and see what was up while sitting next to each other.

 

Onwards to the next steps in this journey.

Nothing really we can do Sabrina02, we were just not one of the early ones to get approved. I'll be here until the last Mayer is approved/finished even if I'm approved. In my line of work or should I say my prior career, I left no one behind!!!!!!!

Good Morning fellow VJ'ers! Silent lurker here for a  couple of months now.

Received an email from USCIS this morning saying they "took action on our case."

Signed in to the account I created and there was the approval:

NOA1-May 25th (old and new website)

NOA2-Nov 14th

174 days to approval

For those in there still waiting, hang in there! Yours is coming soon! Great to have been following along this May group and hearing great news along the way, certainly kept my spirits up through the last 6 months!

Guys I don’t know if I should be excited or not? I spoke to the USCIS this morning and they told me I was approved November 13 (yesterday) but I haven’t received a text, an email or letter in the mail. What’s up with this? I want to tell my fiancé but it’s like money owed I don’t spend it until I have it!

I was approved a day before my notice was sent. On my noa2 it says nov 6 didn’t get notice until nov 7th

You should be excited (well, in as much you should be excited for NOA2; your petition was approved, not your fiancee's visa; it's a step, but just one); it's not at all uncommon for notifications to not be sent or for approvals to be delayed in appearing on one or both web sites (if they show up at all).
