@Katri have you thought if reasons why it might be taking this long for you?

No idea! My theory is that it's still untouched. Because I haven't been married , have no kids. Haven't lived anywhere else than my home country over 6 months etc. At the moment work for our government agency (not as a spy) and our case should be "easy" BUT who knows.

You can file an inquiry and they say they will let you know in 45 days.

But inquiring can be tricky

.if they approve your case then sometimes case can come back from NVC to Uscis for the inquiry...

All of it is so frustrating..

omg!!!! is crazy !!!!! :ranting:

Yea they said i am in line to be adjudicated...

So i am stuck on someone's desk??? What does this mean

Actually ALL cases are in line to be adjudicated until a decision is made..... Your case could be on someone's desk or it could still be in the big pile waiting to be pulled........but every day is a day closer to a decision.......good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I think  the same....

I read ... October has many cases ... more than normal .... a lot  cases without adjudicating ... really they do not work by order ... they have some crazy criteria of adjudication ...

really verify personal data it's a few minutes ... they do not need days ... there is no excuse for this ... yesterday no approvals!!!! ... this way of working is a $#%€^$$##!!!!!

In general, they DO work cases in order.  Not every case is equal, not every adjudicator is equal.  Every case has to be scrutinized by human eyes, and there has been a massive increase in K-1 and CR-1/IR-1 cases over the last 2 years (at least).   Waiting is tough, but I'm not sure there is a fast solution given the enormous backlog which currently exists.

My lawyer has told me that some adjudicators work faster than others..the cases are reviewed in order but some cases are simpler and easy to obtain information on so that's why cases after ours are adjudicated before us... that's why i am trying to understand the causal factors which delays a descions on certain cases

Ive noticed it's travel to more than one country, and living ina country otger than your national one. Other causes are filing for the petition for the second time, etc.

You know this might be the very reason... you never know with these people. I think you should call and ask more in depth questions. I am not sure if you guys have called..?

What did they tell you?

I think it might be pending security checks... because all cases go through a series of processes and passes through several hands before it reaches the desk of an adjudicator who makes the final descion based on the information and supporting evidence we provided along with their own background check

I say you guys call again and try to find out what stage your case is in. Ask if it's pending security checks, or if your case is assigned to an adjudicator. Etc.

I’ve been thinking about submitting an inquiry if we don’t here an answer within normal processing time but think we’re just going to wait it out.

Hearing that it’s risky and the potential longer wait makes me mentally unstable on a level I cannot even describe lol

I’m trying to keep my mind distracted  and myself busy enough to easy the worry and nonstop anxiety..
