Hello, everyone. So after waiting 1year and two months after my husband’s interview, we finally got the news that his visa is ready. And yes, after telling us his visa is ready, they told us he only has 5 months left on his passport and that it can’t be less than 6. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We tried everything we could to get an extension on his passport but in Syria, it is impossible because the government removed the ability to extend passports due to security issues during the war. We had to send in a new passport and are back to waiting for God knows how long.

Just wanted to give everyone hope that it is possible to get a visa and to be careful and check how long your passport is valid. I will keep everyone updated.

We checked my husband passport before the interview ever was scheduled and we applied for a new passport at the embassy of Syria here in Turkey expedite service and we got the new passport within one month. There are other expedite services there but we chose one month.

sorry I meant to say my wife  had her interview back in March and she is on AP as of that month. at the interview we were told the process should take a month but then after sending them the 10 questions that the process could up to a year, I then sent them an email and said that we were told a month and they said no. I later emailed them after reading around that the process is around 60 days but that also was rectified that it should take up to a year.

Hello!

How did the interview go? Are you in AP now? I am at NVC now and I am nervous about the interview (Amman also). Any info will be appreciated.
