Hello,

I filed i-130 and i-130A back in May 2017 (priority date is Jun 2017). I just realized that i-30A had my info and not my spouse. I was wondering, whether I should wait for until I get RFE and then send correct i-130A. Or can I just send it now (with cover letter explaining what happened). I have the receipt # of my i-130.  Based on visa bulletin, they are running on Sept 2017. Shouldn't  I hear something by now?

I did file G325 and all other necessary info about spouse.

The G325a is not used anymore but it might just save you.  There's no harm in sending an I-130a now but no assurance it will get into your file.  Be ready to send again if and when there is an RFE.

Thanks, I sent it in today. I wrote a cover letter explaining the reason and mentioned that info on i-130A is same as G325...

I will update this thread for future readers on status on this issue as it maybe helpful to others.

The I-130a asks more questions than the G325a but they are similar.
