POE – Point of entry question.

I have had a brief look on this forum and google but I was unable to get a definite answer.

Can I fly into any US international airport on my K1 or do I need to fly to the airport of the city I will be effectively moving to?

Can anyone clarify this to me?

Many thanks. Matt

You can enter the US from land, air or sea. Does not matter.

Your visa grants you entry to the United States as a whole, not to a specific State or City. So you can enter the US from any US airport ! Good luck!

If you have few layovers make sure you have a lot of time between first connection in US. That’s your POE and it’s usually big American airports and the lines to clean immigration can be huge even 3-4 h if couple of big planes arrived same time.

Later on domestic connections to reach your final destinations aren’t problematic at all.

You can fly into any US international airport. My wife( then fiancee) is from Ohio but I entered at JFK, New York and there wasn't any problem.
