Technically you could eat it slowly, over about 50 years or so. Maybe desiccated liver capsules. Some people make their own.

At any rate, polar bear liver is not really on my bucket list. They are amazing animals, but I wouldn't want to come across one unless it's at the zoo.

Certainly not most Americans.

Personally I think it's alot more important that something doesn't have something like HFCS in it, rather than the calories. Sometimes they actually use HFCS say instead of cream in half and half to make it fat free, it's ridiculous.

I think if more people dumped the artificial ingredients and added sugars and stuck to more real food, we would see that calories are not the big thing to worry about. People would eat when they are hungry and stop when they are full, and they would not have all the unnatural cravings to eat again in 2 hours that comes from ingesting too much sugar and additives.

The excessive worrying over fat is something people should get away from too. The half and half example you gave is not isolated. Take any food with fat and compare it to it's low fat alternative and chances are the original (higher fat) will be healthier. Many researchers point to the low fat, high carb trend as the point where the obesity epidemic really gathered steam. It's not that fat or carbs are bad in and of themself, but you can't replace healthy fat with processed carbs and simple sugars and think anything good is going to come of it.

I agree. We don't count calories in this house and never have; But we try to stick to (mostly, can't be perfect!) non processed, oftentimes even organic food. Do we like sugar? Sure, but I at least like to make sure it's actual sugar and not corn syrup. The thing is if you get the proper nutrients, you can eat a TON and actually lose weight. Most people aren't even aware of the fact they don't get the proper nutrients from what they eat and think the problem is they eat too much, or what they eat is too fat, etc, it's not. I was just basically giving one example but of course there are many more - personally, I'll take 4% milk over any alternative, or 9% cottage cheese, I don't care about the fat, and I'm sorry but milk and corn syrup shouldn't be called half and half, it should be called - milk and corn syrup.

Mrs. T-B. has done this, and our kitchen ants are eternally grateful.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Bee vomit is the best. I love bees, no one better mess with one when I'm around.

Well, not exactly vomit, in that it doesn't go into the stomach, but a posterior storage sac.  But I know many consider it vomiting.

When I was keeping bees, I got stung many times.  Hurts less each time.  Didn't even notice it at the time, but my joints didn't ache nearly so much as they do today.

Eating pollen collected by the need is good too.

I deal with enough pollen in our business, no thanks. Gets all over my hands and clothes, gross. I've been stung like 4 times I think in my lifetime - one time was because I was trying to save one from drowning in a pool, so ungrateful. But I like sitting sometimes and just watching them feeding. One time when I was in the army I was on guarding duty on the tower and there was some juice someone spilled and a bee came and started drinking right next to me, I was just watching it for quite a bit till it decided it had enough and flew away.

Yeah, they are amazing.  Have stuck my hand in a swarm before (pic below).  Didn't get stung.  But it was HOT in the middle!

It is amazing how they all work together.  They are born, do chores inside while they are young (a week or so), then start flying and foraging until their wings are basically useless, then they die (about 120-130 days on average).  Hence the term "busy as a bee".  They always work for the good of the colony.
