Eat a banana?  Of course every once in a while won't kill you, unless you can't stop at one. Many people can't. Even for dessert (spelled right for the comedians), I think there a better options. I'd go with the ice cream thing Charmander posted. At least you are getting some nutritional value out of that. Although from the size of it,  it looks like it would work better for 2 or 3 people.

Most people don't realize that they can make a lot of desserts at home that are ultimately a lot more healthy than what they can get out. You can even make your own low calorie ice cream with bananas added to it. You can also substitute honey or agave instead of sugar as well for many desserts. I tend to make a small fudge brownie that's very low in gluten or homemade nonpareils. You can't beat a good ice cream, but honestly I'd rather have a small piece of dark chocolate instead or just some fruit for something sweet. Some people use stevia to make the calorie content really low, but I still feel there's evidence to suggest the manufactured kind being pushed on our supermarket shelves today isn't healthy or natural to be eating. I would rather eat sugar than dangerous chemical sugar substitutes.

Definitely, I think anything you can make at home is most likely going to be healthier. I have been avoiding eating anything with sugar added since late last year. I gave up artificial sweeteners a couple of months ago. I just stopped craving anything sweet, and then I got to the point where artificial sweeteners were just too much. My wife was just saying chocolate lasts forever now and it used to be gone in a couple of days.

I still use stevia for coffee I guess, but one pack lasts for about 4 or 5 days now. I used to used the whole package in 1 cup.

stevia

I have too many friends named Steve/Steven/Stephen to be able to stomach this stuff.

Every time I see it, I think "It's PEO-PLE!"

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

We recently converted to an "open office" environment and for some reason this seems to have led to a lot of people bringing in a lot of different treats.  I am really good at avoiding all of these, but I can understand how many people do not.  I suppose they are at least spreading the calories.

Liver and onions for breakfast this AM. Won't need a snack today.

You sure you're not from Middle East? Liver kebab is a huge breakfast deal in Southeast Turkey. Now...I'm craving.

My mother used get sheep liver at our neighborhood butchers for free. Liver actually tastes pretty good, but my siblings and I just didn't want to eat it, as soon as we found out what it was.  Silly considering that we never had a problem eating fried black pudding aka blood sausage.

Do you marinate it in milk the night before?  If not, give it a go.  Not a fan of liver, but like it when my wife does it that way.

I haven't tried that. I just fry it in butter with salt and pepper. Two minutes on each side and it's done. I usually cook up a half pound, but I probably eat a quarter of it before it leaves the frying pan.

I heard people marinate it in milk to get rid of the bitter taste, but I don't mind the taste if it's fresh. Sometimes I forget I have liver in the fridge, and I have noticed a big difference in the taste if it's been sitting for a couple of days days. I may try the milk thing next time that happens.
