Postal strike was good for you hahaha

I am expecting my interview on November 9th but didnt get packet 4 yet?

if you havent got pckt 4 they must have told you over the phone yes ?

My dad was born on on november 9th and died 81 years later on november 9th so its a significant day for both of us....

seems like pckt 4 s come out first class mail and get stuck quite a few days in the strikes..

Hey guys,

Hoping someone can help me, I'm totaly stressed out, we're all set to get married on 14th dec and I was wanting to get out there before 7th dec as that's when my family will get there, they've never flown or even gone out of the uk before and I wanted to be there to pick them up when they arrive, I want to be there the whole time they were in the states so I can make the most of the last week I'm going to get to spend with them for a long time. We got our noa2 approval on 8th oct and I'm really worried that I won't get my visa in time to get out there for them, I'm even a little concerned I might not get the visa in time for my wedding!! Can anyone reassure me in anyway or give me any advice?? I have it planned that I'll have all the required info for the checklist and to send off with package 3 the day it arrives, I'm going to take the morning off work and have it sent the fastest way possible, if anyone can advise me if we really need to start changing our wedding plans or if I'm just over reacting I'd really appreciate it, or just any info at all. Thanks so much.

Daniel

I think that might be difficult to achieve. It is taking around 4 weeks for CSC to get the petitions through NVC. If you call NVC to get your case number, which begins LND, then you can return Packet 3 before you receive it.

Make sure that you have all the items you need for Packet 3 such as the Police certificate (takes 40 days to get), the affidavit of support, proof of income and such as soon as possible. There is a scan of a Packet 3 from London here http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/thumbna...y&uid=30186 Print it off and read the instructions. The forms referred to in the P3 scan can be found here http://www.state.gov/m/a/dir/forms/ .

I used the scan and the forms from the web to send in my Packet 3 a few days after the petition was sent to London from NVC. This saved me about a week and a half. When you send in the packet you can attach a covering letter explaining your circumstances and I think they will do the best they can for you.

Hope this helps

Thanks, I'm definatly going to do this, regarding the medical, is it possible to arrange this before sending packet 3 back or even arrange this as I send it back or do I need them to do this for me? Also is there anywhere I can find a copy of the IV18a leaflet mentioned on the checklist? If I can't get the medical before I send the checklist back should I still tick that part of the list? Is there anything else I should know about package 3 if I'm going to send it off before I actualy recive it? For example should I just send it to the address at Grosvenor sq or does it need to go to any special deptartment? My fiancé is going to be sending me everything she needs to send me this week so I should definatly have that in time, the only thing I'm waiting for that will take longer is the police cert, should have that by the latest 24 nov according to the letter they've sent me so that should be ok, should I just tick that part of the checklist and send it if I haven't quite recived the police cert by then, or is that not advisable? How can we keep track of when it is sent from nvc? do we need to just keep calling them and asking? I'm really sorry for asking so many questions (probably which have been answered so many times before), and really appricete your helping me out, I could really do with all the information I can get, I want to take this thing head on and get it sorted, so I can finish up work and get out there in time, it's awesome to think that soon we'll all be with our loved ones,

again many MANY thanks for your help

Daniel

Also just to add to that, (if i haven't asked enough already) I'm printing off the scans now, it's not going to be a problem that they look like scans is it? I mean it's completely obvious that they've been printed off a computer and are not the origional copies.

Thanks

I used them and it worked for me. To book the medical you have to know your LND case number which is supplied by NVC when they forward your petition to the embassy. I left a couple of weeks between sending my P3 and the medical date to give time for the actual P3 to arrive. I have heard that they keep copies of the medical questionnaire at Knightsbridge doctors for those people who forget theirs. It is just a one page tick box questionnaire anyway.

Thank you so much, I'm going to do all you have said, I really appriciate your help, I just hope it is enough to get me to my wedding on time :) I really don't know what we'll do if worst case scenario happens, I hope all is going well with your plans,

again thank you for your help
