I am opening a bakery/cafe on May 29 and I am trying to come up with some crazy but good sandwiches or paninis. I already have about 10 but I thought I might try to get some ideas from all of you since there is people from all over the world. If I like your idea I will give you credit for it on my menu!

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

Egg mayonnaise! Love that stuff. Stinks to high heaven but you can't beat a nice egg mayo sarnie. :P

Seriously though, haven't really got any ideas but good luck on the cafe, may it prove prosperous for you!

if your talking about a fried egg sandwich, then i am with you all the way. Those things rock!

Fried egg sarnies are pretty tasty, but that's not the same thing. I guess the USA equivalent of egg mayonnaise is Egg Salad. Chopped hard boiled egg and mayo mixed together, add a bit of pepper for taste. Lovely!

well it depends on how "crazy" you're talking here. i don't know your demographics and how open people there are to eating truly "crazy" ideas.... i'm assuming since its not NYC or SF they wouldn't go for anything too terribly wild. but then again, i've never been to indiana! i've worked at so many restaurants where, unfortunately, the crazier the idea, the less it was ordered.

can you tell us some of the ideas you already have to get an idea of what you like?

pesto, turkey, with a bit of goat cheese and green leafy lettuce or spinach on some good bread.

Sub. balsalmic dressing for pesto...and add a few sliced strawberries! Lovely too!

Yikes, that sounds really salty!

I am not really a salt lover or adder and I enjoy the sandwich.

But there are tons of things I don't like! LIKE egg and mayo...

egg and anything really! :)
