Paying for the USCIS Immigrant Fee

I picked up my wife in Juarez yesterday as her CR-1 Visa was approved.  At the security checkpoint, we were asked to park in a designated area and a Immigration Officer asked my wife to bring her packet (unopened), along with her passport (with the visa stamp).  After waiting about 20 minutes, her passport was stamped for entry into the United States.

My final step is to pay for my wife's Immigrant Fee for her Permanent Resident Card.  The Immigration Officer in Juarez/El Paso did not fill out the "Your Alien Registration Number: A_______" and "Your DOS Case ID:___________" on my wife's form.

After some digging around on the internet, both numbers are present on the United States Visa stamp.

So, correct me if I'm wrong,  the Registration Number on the visa stamp IS the Alien Registration Number.   A nine digit number.

The DOS Case ID Number IS the "IV Case Number" on the visa stamp.  This looks like the same case number NVC assigned to our visa application.  My wife's number is CDJxxxxxxxxxxxx.  The three letters, followed by a 12 digit number.

When I try to enter this information at the USCIS Immigrant Fee online, the Alien number  looks correct,  but the space where I enter her DOS Case number doesn't allow me to enter all the digits.  I would enter my wife's entire case number, but the website won't allow me to enter the last digit.

I've tried doing this a number ways by taking off the "C" and entering the rest of her number, still no luck.  Anyone here have an explanation, and can help us get my wife's fee paid?  I apologize in advance for asking VJ, as I've searched the forums for past posts and I couldn't find anything.  Up until last night (Sat night at 11pm)....I've been awake since 6am Friday morning...that would be something around 40 hours without sleep.  I pulled an all nighter driving from Denver to Juarez and back again in a single day.  I got about 13 hours of sleep last night, but still really out  of sorts right now.  But hey, we made it back!!!  We couldn't be happier to be home together.

Thank you
