So I am in the 180-day window of EAD/AP Renewal and currently processing with an employer. I have passed the requirements and the interview and am pending background check for the permanent job offer. My EAD/AP expires in late August and the local office seems really far behind for AOS interviews.  I would like to apply now so that I can be a little secure in case the interview is delayed beyond the expiration of my EAD/AP. I was going to attach an email from HR congratulating me for passing the interview. Would that expedite my EAD/AP renewal application?

Here is my Checklist:

  • "Tear-off portion" sheet with 3 barcodes from previous EAD approval attached to the front of my packet(Photocopy)
  • EAD/AP Renewal Cover Letter with an explanation for the renewal.
  • G-1145 EAD
  • G-1145 AP
  • Copy of EAD/AP Combo Obverse and Reverse
  • 2 passport photo's (Name and Alien Number written on back)
  • Photocopy of i-797c for my i-485
  • Photocopy of i-797c biometrics appointment notice
  • Electronic I-94

And then as a side note, to my knowledge-- since I'm (c)(9), I don't need to pay a filing fee. The address would be:

USCIS Chicago Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS
P.O. Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4120

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS
Attn: FBAS
131 South Dearborn-3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

Am I missing something? Please critique my checklist.

Also, the Form I-765 has an expiration date of 2/28. Is there a new one released by USCIS?
