Well, like many others here I wish you a speedy approval on your petition ..

Some suggestions .. did you refer to the guides about HOW to provide your evidence?

Names, dates, locations written on the backs of pictures ..

Credit Card receipts placing you at her place at the time of your visit ..

Airline Itenerary .. not purchase orders

Boarding passes is always a good idea .. primary evidence, request a record of from your airline ..

All pages from your passport that have any information on them, not just entry and exit stamps ..

again, good luck ..

Donnie and Sylvia

Just a hunch, but I think that they might be taking a closer peek at your petition because of the incredibly short duration of your relationship. (I think I've heard two years being tossed around a lot on here?) Obviously, it shouldn't have taken six months for your RFE to arrive, but I think you might have to go out of your way to provide a lot of evidence as to your relationship...

OP needs to concentrate on evidence of meeting within the last two years not relationship evidence....

Yeah, yeah. I know. Just thinking ahead and muddling through where the boy and I are in the process as well. The point: that the visa officials will probably hit the OP up for loooooooots of evidence.

Resend them the same information along with any additional evidence you may have the past 6 months (phone or email records). It is not unusual to get a RFE about information they already have in their possesion. I did get a RFE for my divorce decree, which they already had. I went ahead and resent the same info with a letter of explanation the same day I got the RFE and a week later they approved my petition. You have to be resilient. Do not waste any time gathering new docs you can only send what you have. You provided more than I did because I did not have any pictures to back up my claim of meeting in the past 2 years, I only provided boarding passes (not even passport stamp). Good luck and do not despair you will get it.

Well, it seems as though someone does have our petition. We have sat waiting now for over 6 months. Today in the mail I get an RFE that was dated April 26th. Seems as though they want some more evidence of meeting. I sent over 20 photos of us together, hotel receipts, passport entry and exit stamps, copy of airline purchase order and I guess this wasn't enough.

Not sure what else I can dig up except maybe credit card bills that show purchases made in the Philippines. I'm pretty disgusted right now.

Sure, and we're prepared for that. We have documented conversations 2 times a day for 3 hours on weekdays and 4 hours a day on weekends. Every day, of every week. I have plenty of phone records, and she has some snail mail I've sent (at least the few that have made it through the filipino mail system). I provide financial assistance to her twice a month and have sent about 250 pounds of gifts last Christmas, not to mention birthday, valentines day gifts, flowers etc. Also I've provided assistance to her family. She has enough relationship evidence she might have to cart it in if she took it all.

Additionally I now intend, if at all possible, to be with her when she goes in for her interview. Whether they ask to see me or not I want to be there to show my support.

True but he will never get to that stage until overcomes the current RFE....

There would be those that would be very cautious of this when it comes to relationship evidence (particularly in a high fraud post) .... Do your best if you can, to support your case without it.....

Yes, and the boarding pass is a very real primary evidence, which is what they're looking for. The OP did/does not have the boarding pass because it was taken from him when he boarded his flight. That is why it was suggested that he get a record of having flown directly from the airline.....to support the passport stamps which he sent in.

J&G, I'm not sure why they issued an RFE if you sent the passport stamps already(you can't get much more 'primary evidence' than that) in your initial packet. Because of the incredibly long time it has taken for this USCIS response, you may want to follow some of the advice given here to just re-send your initial application packet with a letter of explanation of each piece of evidence you're including.

Let me ask this....did you use the passport as proof of US citizenship, or did you send in a copy of your BC? If you did not use the the passport as proof of US citizenship....but since you used it to prove entry/exit into your SO's country, did you provide a complete copy of your passpsort(all pages)? I'm just wondering....trying to figure out if this RFE they issued you is just an 'idiotic' one (i.e. they didn't look carefully at your evidence) or maybe they were just confused by some of it.

I have read that alot, where people get RFE's, submit the same evidence, and then just end up with an approval, I really do not think that there is a method to their madness...however, good luck.

Good grief. Really sorry to hear this. I wonder if the former-adjunctor-now-petitioner can assist? Might be worth a try. Much good luck and hang in there!

No way!!!! Argh! That blows goats. Unfair. I am pissed on your behalf.

Send 'em everything again! With big highlighter circles around whatever you think they might've missed the first time. I think, as someone else mentioned, it might be worth a call to the airline to see if they can fax you somekind of proof-of-flying record, if so, stick it in the envelope, if not, send it on anyway.

Barsts! I can't believe they'd make you wait this long and then pull this #######. Calling the congressman/woman for your area is a good idea, just to let them know and prep them in case you need more help in the very near future. And to register your complaints.

Keep us posted on what happens.

Its likely as simple as they lost what he sent them.
