Hi, 

 

Are the tax transcripts you get from the IRS website just as valid as the ones you can request to get over the mail, or do they have any differences? 

I don't know if the ones you get in the mail have extra info, an official seal or something. 

 

 

Also, my fiancé doesn't have his original W2 and tax return for 2017 anymore, will the transcript I downloaded online suffice?

The ones you get online and print are perfectly suitable for immigration purposes. I think that's more what you're looking for than if one looks more real than the other.

 

No need for W-2s if using the transcript. You either provide the [1040 + W-2s/1099s/other schedules] OR [the transcript].

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE

Haha exactly :P I downloaded 4 years online, but they didn't have a bar code or seal, they looked too simple to me, that's why I was wondering.
