Good day! Does anyone gone through the process for filing a divorce here in the Philippines under Sharia court (both were Muslims). He already processed the divorce in gulf country and the finalized paper was sent already here. It just needs to file in the Sharia court to legalized the divorce here and to update the NSO status and change the name. (Marriage under sharia court was registered in the Philippine embassy in the country were they married). Does anyone can lead where and how to file a divorce in Sharia court here in the Philippines? And how much does it cost? Will greatly appreciate your responses thank you!

Did they both got married here in the Philippines under sharia court? If yes, tell her/him where marriage took place then go to that court and ask the questions. Just a suggestion. Myself, I have no experience with that except for the annulment. Good luck

im going through the same issue. Got married in middle east sharia law but had my marriage filed in philippine Embassy now I am divorced there and I need to file the recognition here and get my record clear to be able to remarry again. Sharia lawyer is asking me 150,000 pesos for the process and said can do in 1 month time. Im worried and want to know if anyone else have done this. Please message me

So you got married and divorced in the Middle East under Sharia Law, and are you are trying to marry in the Philippines or the USA?

Im trying to get married in the Philippines, im planning to move to Europe with my boyfriend who i plan to marry. I found this forum more helpful and read this post thru search. The shariah lawyer showed me around 6-7 files that they will give after the process, certificate of finality, annotated MC etc. which should allow me to remarry here in Phil. Im curious if anyone has done this
