Hello Guys,

I adjust my status from k1 visa holder. So I will have green card interview soon. When I filed for aos, I also filed for advance parole (i131), but so far I still haven't received the advance parole. Whenever I check online, it always says they mailed me the receipt notice that describes how they will process my case....I only received the receipt notice so far. The green card interview requires me to bring all the immigration related documents ever issued to me like Advance Parole. So when I go to the interview, I should just tell them I filed for advance parole but I haven't received it yet?

And there is another problem. When I input the receipt number of my aos, it shows validation errors so I can't check my status. Do you guys know anything about this?

Don't worry about it! I had exactly the same issues!!! I brought the AP and EAD notice with me to my interview. But the immigration officer didnt ask about it.

Also my AOS online status had an error message for the longest time on USCIS site (even till now). Try use this one https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/  This site worked but still didn't show any updates for me after the biometrics appointment. I had my interview on Friday May 4th and it finally got updated to green card being produced today. Good luck on your interview:jest:

You are so welcome! And you really don't need to worry about the interview. Our interview was very easy. The officer didn't tell me I was approved at first. But I just straight up asked him LOL And then he told me that I was and gave me an approval notice.

My interview was on Friday but the case status wasn't updated until Sunday night. It did show that I was approved on Friday though. :P

Sorry to bother you again haha  I read your shared experience of the interview. Our situation are a bit alike haha  About the joint documents, how did you get a joint bank account with your husband here?  My husband and I went to the bank trying to get a joint bank account once but the bank didn't allow me because I don't have a primary ID like a green card, a driver's license. I can not get a driver's license without a green card so it leads to a dead end.

Aww that's not very nice of that bank. My understanding is that you can open a bank account (not a credit card, mortgage or investments) without IDs issued by the U.S. Can you not use your passport and perhaps your SSN if you have it?

My husband (dual citizen of Canada and US) and I moved from Canada. Our Canadian bank has an affiliated bank in the US; and it's pretty much all online service. And we've been using that account for several years now. We just downloaded our statements from online banking.

I don't know if this helps  But good luck on your interview. I'm sure you'll be fine without the joint bank account!
