Hello! We are having problems with sending our documents to NVC. We tried sending them with usps but they were lost since January 2018. Later when we learned that we can use online uploading, my husband uploaded documents online. And I received email from NVC that we can send them documents with email. So he emailed them. Later I got a new reply from NVC that we can't email them and we have to mail them. Then my husband mailled the documents with ups this time. It's been 2 weeks and still ceac shows the same page "action required, send below documents etc."

How did everyone here send their documents to NVC? Does NVC inform you when they receive? Or how long this part takes? Is there anything you can recommend us to do now? :(

Call NVC to confirm if they received your docs.

This is really weird. Did you, for some reason, send the mail requiring a signature on receipt? I have read that NVC may reject those. In any case, sending domestically should take only 3 working days to reach, although NVC's status won't change until it is a case complete (that was what happened with me at least. It went from 'Action required: Submitted requested documents' straight to 'At NVC'). Do you have a tracking number with UPS to see where the package is?

Golly, sounds awful.

Hopefully you sent these documents via certified mail

In regards to the USCIS not updating their online tracking system it can be of two reasons:

1. They have received the documents but are processing other ones before your case will be looked at

2. They are currently reviewing the documents and will update the tracker soon.

When we first sent we didnt require a signature from usps but on our second try with ups we required signature to know when they delivered. We were supposed to receive an email but still didn't receive it. We will check with Ups today. How long did it take to change from "action required" to "At NVC" ?

I can't believe we spent 4 months just to deliver these documents to NVC :( :(

I hope this is true. Cause since they emailed us saying we have to mail them the documents we are confused.

And when we ask they say they didnt receive documents yet.

It only took me 6 working days. I did send my package right after paying my AOS and IV fees, without waiting for the DS-260 to open. They got my package on the same day the DS-260 opened up.

By the way, if you sent via USPS Priority Mail, there should be a tracking number available. Did you sent it via First Class Mail instead?

I would recommend for you to mail the documents again if there is fedex courier available in Turkey. It took me only 5 days from the Philippines to New Hampshire with no problem. Hopefully your docs make it through. Good luck!

I meant if you are in Georgia then fedex would do a better job but expensive I know :(

My husband just found the email from UPS that it was delivered :)

We paid AOS and IV fees on June 2017 but our lawyer ( who we shouldn't have trusted) completed filling ds260 this January 2018.

Usps said they lost the package in a center where system proceeds with only machines (if I understood correct, considering my English not being so good ^_^. But it's good that now UPS delivered it.

And I'm happy to hear that it took them only 6 working days in your case to update system. I hope in our case it will be as short as yours too! I'm so relieved now.

@Behiye Wow, USPS is usually very reliable. So sorry to hear you were one of the few very unlucky ones! AOS and IV fees in JUNE 2017 and DS-260 only in JANUARY 2018? Wow... if I had a dollar each time I heard about a lawyer screwing up, I would finish my visa journey quite a bit richer. I do see that CC is very fast now, so I think you can reasonably expect one in 3 weeks or less! Good luck!

Yeah I was shocked to see couples like us having longer waits because of lawyers with experience of maaaany years still screwing ups.

Thank you so much for everything. I appreciate your help very much!
