Ok so this is messed up, I called USCIS just now and the automated system is saying that on May 3 my case was transferred to the USCIS office in Laguna Niguel California.. this is the California Service Center.. so if that's correct, on may 1st it was transferred to NBC and on may 3rd it was transferred back to CSC? What madness is this?

I don’t think that’s what happened. I’ll take that automated system with a grain of salt. I heard same message you’re saying when I also called on May 1st. At this point that most of our I-751 have been sent to NBC with our N 400 pending, we will have 2 possible outcomes: Either we get a fast approval or it will sit there until our N 400 interview date to be transferred to our local offices. NBC is a little tricky since it’s not a center that approves petitions but reviews them so it will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming weeks ahead. Maybe they’ll do this time to ease the backlog who knows. One thing that’s for sure is those whose I-751’s got transferred to Nebraska got their approvals within like a month.

Hi,  ROC filers!

Just wanted to share my timeline:  Submitted my ROC at the beginning of January 2017, they received it on January, 17th 2017.

February 26th, 2018 got the glitch message about Case being transferred to local office

April 4th, 2018 Case was transferred to Nebraska (NCS), hardcopy received in the mail within few days

May 7th (today), 2018 received an updated "we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WACblabla, and will mail it to the address you gave us. I" - I guess I am approved :)

Never received "Case Approved" status though.

My package of documents wasnt 10 inch fat - I submitted about 20 pictures (including wedding ones). Apartment lease documents for 3 years, joint account (I provided only one month of a statement, but the account was opened years ago), Life insurance (my UC husband was a beneficiary on my life insurance), joint account in a veterinary hospital for our dog (lol); joint bills and correspondence showing that we live in the same place, one account for our phones. That's about it. I did not send any text messages logs or personal emails.

Do you think there is a chance that my "card in production" might be a glitch since i have never received "case approved" update? Or is that it and I shall just wait for the card?

PS: I did not apply for N400 yet.

I am july 2016 (divorce waiver) filler. My original case was from CSC, in february 2018 they transferred my case to the local office. Made online service request twice (1st respond said they’ll make a decisions in 60 days. after 60 days didnt hear anything then i made another service request, 2nd respond said they’ll make a decisions in 120 days) went to infopass once, officer told me that local office been backed up due to N400 fillers so they have no idea when they going to schedule me an interview/another notice. I even contact my local congressman back in february but it seems didnt help. On May 3rd i got email/messages says my case being transferred to the new office. Today just got the letter state that my case been transferred to the NBC Lee’s summit, MO. Idk how much longer should i wait after these 22 months.

OK, I will share our situation.  On April 10th, my wife was scheduled for her N400 interview in Detroit with an I751 pending (N400 applied for on January 13th, 2018).  On that date, I went with my wife to the USCIS office and the IO asked both of us to come back and conducted a joint I751 interview for about 5-10 minutes, she clearly had the I751 package in front of her so it confirmed to me that it was transferred to the local office from CSC.  Afterward, my wife had her N400 interview and was approved, but of course we still had that pesky I751 open.  The IO implied that the I751 was all set, but a few days later (around April 15th) we received a NOA (I don't check the online system often) that the I751 case had been transferred to the NBC in Missouri which seemed strange, so I checked online with the WAC number from the first I751 NOA and I saw the "Transferred" message (the other WAC number from the Biometrics NOA still showed the "Fee Waived" message).  When I checked her number from the N400 NOA, it still showed "the Oath to be scheduled" message.  Anyway, fast-forward a little less than a month and she received a NOA from NBC stating that the I751 has been approved and the 10yr GC should arrive in 60 days or so.  So finally, the I751 (filed December 2016) has been approved, and now my wife's oath can be scheduled.

Good Luck to Everyone!

Congrats on your approval @Bill & Katya , this is indeed strange but good news nevertheless ! So essentially, they never called you guys in for the I-751 interview ? Hopefully you have your oath ceremony soon and are done with USCIS once and for all.

They did not schedule us for a specific I751 interview, but considering we had the pending N400, I thought it prudent to go to USCIS with my wife just in case, and that is when the IO conducted the I751 interview.

Yes, we are hoping to have the oath soon or at the very least scheduled as we plan on doing some traveling soon and want to set our dates for that.

Hello, I wanted to add my instance to this thread as well.

Filed for I-751 July 2016 at the CSC. Have not seen any movement in the case since then (until now).

Filed for N-400 in July 2017 (three year rule) and case went in line for interview in August 2017 (no movement since then)

This week, I got the 4 notifications:

image.thumb.png.be9c2642085a9c16825e1fe950e87adc.png

I know the last time I was in for infopass, I learned a couple of things. The office said that the "we received your case" is not a glitch by any means, but doesn't necessarily mean anything either. He said at the beginning of this year, they made it a point to scan the barcodes on the files anytime they switch hands. So even if that happened between two different officers at the CSC, it would show that notification. He also told me that my case was combined with the NBC (for N-400) a while back, but had gone back to the CSC early this year. So I'm hoping that the notifications I received this week are because my I-751 got moved back to the NBC and interview is going to be scheduled soon for my N-400 combo. This would also line up with the processing time for my local office, which is at 12.5-19 months and I will be 12 months in July for my N-400. Hope this is helpful info!

Apologies for creating any confusion.  ROC filed in December 2016 (CSC), N400 filed January 2018 (Detroit USCIS), N400 Interview scheduled April 10, 2018 Detroit, ROC interview conducted April 10, 2018 (prior to N400 interview for my wife), ROC approved May 4, 2018, N400 approved April 10, 2018.

I hope that helps.  The I751 interview was before the NOA showing it was approved.

Hi....I got the same notification like yours yesterday after almost 2 years! I filed my I-751 Aug 2016 at CSC and filed for N400 Aug 2017 and was in line for interview since Oct 2017. I guess the letter will come in mail anytime soon. I think the letter will say that my I-751 will be combined with N400 interview. I am hoping that my N400 interview is going to be scheduled soon. Btw where is your local office for N400?
