My fiancé is from Brazil. Our case left NVC on May 29 and the status still shows in transit.

Kinda bit of worried. Some cases to Brazil only took 1 to 3 days for them to receive. Can we actually book the interview and medical now without waiting for that status showing Ready? We haven’t received an email from the RJ consulate. We have all the documents completed (DS-160, 134). Some people say that we can book the interview and medical but that depends on the country. So has anyone from Brazil able to book an interview without waiting for that email instruction?

Thanks!

May I ask, how long did it take from "at NVC" to "in transit"?

So much for trying to hurry the process....after completing everything including mrv fee(30th may)....there's no dates available at Nairobi for interviews.

Keep watching to see a cancellation then grab it. But first at least grab one date to start.

Yea there are plenty of people..

I think NVC is slowed down... just like how USCIS was at the end of April..

I don't know why. Maybe they are ready for a summer vacation

Okay... So no one recently...  Didn't you get your number like in 3 weeks?

So is there anyone who actually got their number from NVC in 2 weeks!? :D

NVC timeline fluctuates a LOT
The May 2017 filers waited up to 6-7 weeks for numbers
I got mine in 16 days (as an August filer) and many others in August/September 2017 got it in like 12 days so that should give you an idea of what's happening.

Be patient. I know it sucks to wait again but this is your finish line!
Good luck!

Does anyone here know what are the requirements that the petitioner needs to prepare for the beneficiary's interview? I really need to know the list so that I can ask my fiance for it.

Would really appreciate anyone's response. Thank you

The big thing he'll have to provide is the I-134 form, which is the Affidavit of Support, and the supporting documents/proof for that. Supporting evidence will be financial/tax documents...this is what they look at to make sure he can (help to) support you when you move to the US.
