Same here. Starting to get frustrating. We received our NOA2 on the 15th so 1 day after you and still nothing. Tomorrow is day 21 since we received the NOA2.

OK here is part of what happened at my fiancées interview in Manilla.  my fiancée had her interview Monday morning and she was never asked to give the Affidavit of support. only nso,,cenomar, and nbi. neither the Pilipino counselor or the American CO asked her about my income or job or the Affidavit OS and supporting documents? the interview went well, they kept her passport and just said "thank you you're finished" she was given a paper as she left with info to register her address for delivery. I'm confused why they never asked for AOS?? Would like to hear comments about this.

Why would you need a AOS at an interview? That should only be needed once your fiance is in the country and you guys are married.

Hi all, quick question about I-134 affidavit of support, is tax return a must?

If we have prepared w2, and statement from employer with salary, start date, position and it's a permanent position?

Check your Embassy's Requirements (Packet 3).

Well, it's very general. Only one line: Evidence which will show that you and your children, if any, are not likely to to become public charges in the United States. If an affidavit of support is to be submitted, Form I-134 should be used.

They don't mention what type of documents are required. So I am wondering if W-2 and employer letters are enough?

Tax return is required document for proving you meet or exceed the poverty guidelines and the beneficiary can be supported. There is less paperwork if you go to the IRS website and download Tax Transcripts, which is desired by the Embassy's rather than 1040's. There free and you can get them immediately without waiting.

W-2 and employer letters are not enough. Follow the document requirements from this page as it asked for the max that any Embassy will ask for.

Most Embassy's are looking for the most current year tax return, but no more then 3 years max is needed. If a specific Embassy needs more as you stated it will be contained in the P3. In lieu of 1040's use Tax transcripts available from IRS.

The Manila Embassy (USEM) hasn't asked for financial supporting documents for over 3 years now. It still advised to have the documents prepared as the CO can ask for them. We still see some being asked but you can count them on one hand over a years time.
