@EllyNelly There is no way but calling the NVC to get your case number. After they tell you your case number you can track it to see when it’s IN TRANSIT or READY(delivered at the embassy).

:( Yea i called them because I got impatient lol. He told me to call next week.. so i will lol.

@EllyNelly Soon it will be all over, don't worry! Keep calling like the other members have suggested, after 7 pm EST.  I got the NOA 2 on 2nd May, and my fiance will start calling in two weeks time:clock:. Relax and starting filling and gathering the papers!^_^

We are joining this NVC thread since our NOA2 approval date was May 2nd from NOA1 date 9/11/17.

Anyone here from Brazil on this thread?

What at is usually the timeline from NOA2 to NVC to Embassy in RDJ?

My fiancé is here with me in United States visiting since April 21 and won’t be returning to Brazil not until June 12. Do you guys think that his case will be ready before then? I hope he gets his interview end of June or July so we won’t be apart for very long.

Hey, I am from Brazil and my NOA2 date is the same of yours. I have been looking at the timeline of people from Brazil and I am expecting my interview to be middle of July.

Hi everyone

My NOA2 is May 8th. I am trying to prepare the documents to send to my fiance. I was wondering how soon should I start , I mean I need to get bank statement, pay stub and employment paper. I dont want the People in the consulate deny my documents because they are outdated 🙄.Anyone has any idea how old those papers can be? Or should I get them after I get my nvc case number?

Appreciate guys 😊

You can start depending on how soon you want the interview and also, the available Interview slots. Like @BnK said, you can start now.

So If our interview happens to be scheduled two months later, having those documents being two months old 😁, would that be a problem, or they will still accept it

They will def accept it, but I would suggest '1 month old'.

Still acceptable for all the other docs. But for the medical, its only valid for a month.

No problem, Sis. I'm right at your service.

Anything you want.

Now, let's start counting days for USCIS to send your case to NVC. Give it 14 days to call NVC for the case #.

My case took 20 days to get to NVC. I got the case # the same day (after 3 hrs) they received it.

After 3 days, it left NVC and after 2 dats, it was Ready (EMBASSY received it).

So, it took my case 6 days (4 Business Days) from NVC Received (At NVC) to Ready (At Embassy).

Now, you can do the following as you wait for NVC #;

1) Download and start filling Affidavit of Support Form (I-134) and try to get the Supportimg Documents for it.

https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-134.pdf?download=1

https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-134instr.pdf?download=1

2) You can start filling the DS-160 Online Form, save it but don't sign &  submit it yet.

https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

3) Start compiling Evidence of Relationship.

*Make Screenshots from the App (e.g., Whatsapp). Have 3-4 screenshots from each month and arrange them 6 screenshots per page of MS Word. Gather Screenshots of Chat, Call, Facetime showing your phone numbers (you and your Fiancé).

* Pictures, from 6-30 of you two together, including family. DON'T INCLUDE PICTURES OF TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE!!

*Boarding Passes (If you wish)

4) Your Fiancé should get ready with his Passport, Birth Certificate.

@Sarac9 there you go ☺️. I got my NOA2 on 2nd May, and will be calling in two weeks time to check.
