Quick question for anyone... I have my number from NVC... On the CEAC website it says that it still is at NVC. Is that site updated automatically or should I call and ask to see if they have sent the packet to the embassy? Just want to make sure I am informed... Thanks

It will update. You don't have to call

Girl, that website is flaky
U have to make sure you enter all information properly before clicking submit.

Has he already done medical?
Where is he doing it? Because to do medical, you need to show proof of booked appt and if he does medical in Lagos, he won't get it back before 2 FULL weeks
Which means if he goes to this interview next week without medical, y'all risk being in AP

Ya he did medical and in Abuja

NVC has our case and case number as of the 31st! SO a few questions that I havent been able to find an answer to on the thread

1) It has not yet been sent to the embassy but is it alright to complete the DS-160 or should he just save it until its ready in London and THEN submit?

2) From what I understand the medical dates are backed up to the last day of June if not July? Any chance this might change and is it absolutely necessary to wait for the medical to do the interview?

3) How can we check the available interview dates? DO we absolutely have to wait until our case is ready before we can even LOOK at dates?

4) Will the embassy send packet 3 to my fiance or does he have to request it? Also his address has changed since we filed the K-1. Will this affect his receipt of packet 3 and also what about his passport from the medical? Will he be able to specify the address it will be sent back to?

Since you must process through the London US Embassy there are some April NOA2 thread that can help you. Some other links that will help.

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822

U.S. Embassy London is pleased to inform you that we have received an approved petition in support of your fiancée or K3/4 visa application. Please refer to our website at https://uk.usembassv.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/ for detailed instructions on preparing for your visa interview and scheduling the appointment.

In accordance with 9 FAM 41.81 PN3.2, please find:

•        One copy of the petitioner's approved Form I- 129F, together with any criminal background information (including information on protection orders) that USCIS has gathered on the petitioner and any information that USC1S has provided regarding prior Form 1-129F filings by the petitioner.

•        One copy of USCIS's pamphlet, "Information on the Legal Rights Available to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence in the United States and Facts about Immigrating on a Marriage-Based Visa.

Issuance of a K visa is not guaranteed. A Consular Officer will evaluate your case and make a final determination

You are advised not to make any travel plans until you receive your visa.

Should you need to communicate with the Embassy regarding your case, please provide your case number exactly as

it is listed below.

I know @Greenbaum has already replied to this, but as I'm going through the London Consulate myself. Thought I'd put my 2cents in too.

1) It is wise not to submit the DS-160, until the embassy has received the documents required, so as soon as you see a 'Ready' status. You're good to go. So complete the form and save.

2) From when I spoke to two receptionists yesterday. Very unlikely that the appointments being backed up will change. Both said cancellations rarely happen. Yes it is required to have the medical before the interview, or you will find yourself stuck with a 221g  (basically waiting for information they need), which might prolong getting the visa.

3) Personally, due to the changes they seem to be making, with the way they're sending over info, I'd wait until it says 'Ready' status, but you could probably as @Greenbaum said, do it while it says 'In Transit'. https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv but yes this is the site, to go ahead and book the interview.

4) Yes it might affect the arrival of the packet 3. Call NVC as soon as possible to let them know the change of address. He should get his passport back on the day of the medical in his hand and when you book the appointment. It does ask for an address I believe to send the passport back too.

You just need to make sure your fiance has all the information and documentation that is required for the interview. Depending on how each system works. I would say that it takes a good month, to get everything together.

I requested everything I needed for the affidavit as soon as we got approved and luckily it was just one single document I had to wait on. I sent over everything he needs from me today via express. Anything I missed I'll just drop off at work tomorrow. As for his address, all of his mail is forwarded to his parents, he was just worried about anything that goes by courier. I was really hoping to have him here by July 4th but that's out of the question now. At least all my wedding plans aren't for naught!

Aww! When you planning to have your wedding?

Has he already got his Police Certificate and Patient Summary & Immunization Records ready?

Yes and no. It all depends on your visa validity date (1), your POE date (2) and USCIS (3). I'll explain.

1. You have to be on US soil by the expiration date of your visa which is tied to your medical date (most times). So the closer your medical is to your interview the better.

2. You are required by the K-1 visa to marry and file your AOS within the 90 day period. (Clock starts ticking at POE entrance)

3. If you don't file within the 90 days, you are technically out of status and could be deported. BUT, we rarely see this happening especially to those who marry but fail to submit their AOS package until some time after. USCIS will adjudicate your case if it's tardy with no repercussions but you will have to explain why you are tardy. Most who are late in filing is because of not have the finances to file within the 90 day period.

I hope this helps in your decision.

Thank you so much! ❤❤❤

Anybody got one of these even after receiving the hard copy NOA2? I logged into the website (old and new) and it shows approved still on both. Is it just a glitch?

I have no clue. We got our approval just today (online). Did you ask the previous months filer too? I'm interested in the answer of your question.

It is most likely a glitch, don't worry about it. Did NVC received your case yet?
