Just an update for Togo. @ChuAni I emailed the embassy like you said Friday and today they sent me an email saying my fiance could come to the embassy on Thursday to pick up his appointment letter and other information/instructions. He was out of the country this weekend and just arrived back so tomorrow he will file the DS-160 and then go to the embassy Thursday.

They picked his appointment date for him?

I forgot.. do we have to make a new intent to marry letter for fiancee's interview?

Fiance called today, we had our approval show as 4th May online and 3rd May on NOA2. They received our case yesterday and we now have a case number!

Got my ACRO (police report) today too. Looks pretty nifty...

Looks like August wedding is not gonna be stunted. Just moving date a little later than expected!

see i actually submit my form this evening my time but do not yet schedule an appointment i just printed the confirmation page.

if it didin't works i can just filled another application because anyway the barrecode on the confirmation is unique and that's what they have to work with i mean if they work with the confirmation page i bring to the interview with it barrecode so i can always create another application

Bring the confirmation page from the DS-160 to your interview. The CO will use the barcode to bring up and attach the DS-160 making it now a part of your file.

A letter of intent is needed normally for the interview. Check your P3 once it arrives or check your Embassy's website for list of required documents. As far as the letter is concerned just use the one you wrote for the 129F submittal and changing the date only. The date should be close to the interview date that way there is no time limit involved.

I think by residency she meant the green card and all the rest! I think the same, but she scared me by saying a lot of people got denied. I don’t think it’s true.

People do get denied but more get the GC then get denied. Here is what I would do with your lawyer FIRE THEM NOW!!! and don't look back. You can do this as you have found VJ and as you know lots of help here.

My fiancé has two last names (father last name followed by mother last name). My original submission only included his father's last name. I sent a letter requesting that his mother's last name be added. Based on the NOA2, the second name was not added.

Should I notify the NVC or just make sure the DS160 is completed properly?

What documents do you have that contained the proper spelling. Passport? BC? Moving forward all documents must match his passport name which of course should match his BC. If none of those match then you have more work that needs to be done but without knowing what documents contain which name it's hard for me to advise as what to do next.

6 days with documents at NVC! Why is it taking forever?

Because they are processing Millions of applicates such as yourself. Patience or you will kill yourself. This is not a hard process. The hardest part is the wait. If you learn to wait with patience then you will be a little happier. The next process after this is AOS and you being the waiting game again. After that its removal of conditions (ROC) another wait. So waiting is important.

Our ROC (Vermont) took 14 months when it should have taken only 6 months. While California submissions took 6 months. You talk about steam coming from my ears BUT I learned to wait and not get myself upset. We finally got the approve and the wait was worth it.
