surprising as it seems. Our visa is ready for pick up.

@ChuAni @emekus94 @saeric  Hi, does anyone know or how can i find out what the dates for interview are in Lagos without having paid the ds-160 fee because we haven't got to that stage, still at the waiting on NVC stage.

It's not possible to know the dateS
U have to pay in order to open the calendar.
HOWEVER, If you log in now, it shows you the FIRST available date.
This might not be much helpful to know the first date though because it really doesn't mean anything. Because for instance, When it was my turn, first date available was the following day but nothing was open on the calendar for another 2 weeks out.

So really, just wait till you Pay for the fee after NVC. Lagos fluctuates a lot anyway - though this should be it's slower period of the year because Holidays are over.

Thank you! Yes, it was over very quickly, but they didn't have me medical results. They said they will issue as soon as they get them. I have avoided writing up a full post as I don't want to tempt fate by being all joyful that I have been approved, for something else to happen to delay / prevent it if you know what I mean lol.

I don’t want to jinx being too happy. I am just waiting patiently until my interview🗓, but just wondering what were the questions and the process when you got there.

Okay so, we walked outside the embassy and waited 'til around 15 minutes before my appointment time. They ask for your DS-160 at the door and your passport. This is to get into the first building where you go through airport scanner. Once get through you can exit this little bit and walk up to the main building. There were no queues so we could walk straight inside (though we waited a minute we thought we had to be let in - we didn't). Then there's a lady at the reception that gives you your number (she was a bit rude / grumpy), and tells you to go to the lifts and go to the 1st floor (it's all printed on the sticker she puts on your DS-160, so don't worry if you forget what she says).

Then you go up and walk to your designated place. When you're number is called they will greet you nicely, and ask you for all of your docs including the affidavit. He did ask me for Tax returns but I thought I only needed W2's. He said they are less concerned about that with the K1's, and accepted the W2s with the employment letter. And you'll also do your fingerprints here too. It's like a little post office kiosk window type deal. Then you'll sit back down in the same are and wait to be called again by someone else.

My number came up and she asked my to take an oath, scanned my fingers again I believe. Asked me how we met, where we planned to live, and if I'd lived in any other countries. I swear she only asked me those 3 questions. Annnnd then I was so excited when she said approved pending medical that I kind of doubled forward and hit my head off the counter :)  They are very calm, and nice. The first guy talked to my fiance about football and stuff lol. I wish there were more things to report! The longest part was waiting between the handing over documents, and then the interview part.

Oh, ok. It sounds like the same procedure as I did for my tourist visa renewal with them 2y ago. Only that they moved to other location.  My fiance brought me a lot of paperwork, even though I told him we don't need that much. His station manager also printed something from online records at work, like 16 pages for all his years with the company😑. I was really specific and asked just for a letter of employment...

Oh well, I will ask my fiance to try and get that. So it will take less time for the CO to look over and less time for me to spend there😬

Did they give you all the originals back, or they kept just the copies there?

Thank you! Thank you!!! 😍😇

Toc Toc Toc!

I been asking the same question after being ignored so many times. I taught we were a support group. So my fiancee went for her interview on July 25th..The C.O asked few questions kept all of her official documents(copies not original), returned her passport and told her she will be contacted in the next 60 days. So far she been in Administrative Processing. Each time i emailed the Embassy i am been told that i will be contacted or she will be soon. This whole process has been crazy and stressful, i don't know if anyone had some almost same experience to share with me. i just need to know where we are standing in the process...

My thoughts are with those still waiting for their NOA2.

My fiance and I had our interview on July 9th. We are waiting for the visa to be processed.

We provided all requested documents. My fiancé has twins. Although we've expressed they are not expected to follow…we were asked to provide their birth certificates to be processed (the NVC creates cases for children of the beneficiary).

In hindsight, I can see why the consulate would want their info…in case something happens to the mother.

I was quite frustrated because I felt like we should have been notified to have the birth certificates for the children whether they plan to follow or not. We would have had the documents at the interview and would not have been delayed in the having the visa processed.

Good news, is we are approved…documents were received for processing. The CEAC site shows that the case has been updated twice last week.

We're praying for the issued visa this week.

I extended my stay a whole week hoping he'd be able to travel with me. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

God willing…we will be blessed with the visa this week. In God's time….we are thankful to be able to receive the visa.

Praise God!!! Our visa was issued today!!!

So thankful!!! I am excited to have him here to help finish our wedding planning!!!

The I94 is not a stamp but rather a document you print from the internet. Google "I94" and it will bring you to a site to log in with your passport number and information and you can print it.

Hi @EllyNelly. Do you mind if I ask you how much is the amount for the check ? I am not quite sure if is $1225 for the 3 forms. I-485, I-131 and I-765?

I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you ❤️
