No, that's why. It was ready the day after I sent the email, but I knew it would take them a few days to respond. They responded when it was "Ready" but told me they haven't received the physical file. So I'll just wait till next week.

Hi, I emailed them at lagosIV@state.gov 

Basically, I put my fiance's name, the USCIS receipt number, and the NVC case number. Then I requested for the additional steps and packet 3 for the K1 visa.

Thanks for responding.i sent the exact same email to them but I got a different response they sent me am auto response containing frequently asked questions.

I received the auto response too. The embassy will respond to your actual email within a few days.

Any way interview have already been booked and medical done.

So since I know most of the things they needed and am prepared already I just think same thing will be sent to me anyway.

So before two weeks of my interview I should have the packet.

Yes, I am familiar with the documents that we need and the next steps. I just want to play it safe and receive the instructions from the embassy before booking the interview and doing medicals. Glad you're all set though!

You can say no, if you don't at the moment. Because either way you will get a medical and the physician will decide which vaccines to give you.

My fiance didn't have records so we said no when we submitted the ds 160. But ofcourse that was before his medical.

They have sent me email/sms to pick up my passport/Visa package, but I'm out of Town. I will be picking it up on Monday.

When it shows 'Ready', send out email. You will get an autoresponse first and they will specifically reply your email after 1-2 business days.

 

Don't schedule your interview before 'Ready' or 'Packet 3' or before they reply that they have received your case from NVC. Some people have been turned back on their interview dates they scheduled because of this (scheduled before reply/email from the embassy).

 

Follow the process gradually and one step at a time.

 

 

*** If they replied that they have no physical file of your case. There's no cause for alarm. Resend an email to them on Monday (from 12 noon WAT).
