We are on the same boat. Hand shaking. I was hoping it could be ready by end of this week. But tmr is already 'end of this week'. So I guess I should be more patient.

Yes I agree haha but I would much rather be in this waiting period rather than: 1. NOA2 waiting 2. NVC arrived 3. NVC Case In Transit :) :) :)

@ChuAni I just want to say your review on your interview experience was so well written, I honestly felt like I was there you explained everything so clearly thank you so much for that! I read the whole thing to my Fiancee.

Awww! Thanks, Dear. The previous reviews by other Applicants really helped me when we started the process and promised to give back to the community that assisted me.

Good luck and Congrats in advance.

I await your exciting review.🇳🇬❤️🇺🇸

Hello Everyone,

I have been a long time lurker here. My NOA2 was 5/10/18 . NVC recieved my case on 5/30/18, NVC # assigned 5/31/18. I then waited "AT NVC" status until 6/13/18. I received the instruction email from NVC on 6/14/18 and on that same day I sent the DS-160, scheduled biometrics (VAC) [6/18/18] and Interview [7/12/18]. Today my fiance was supposed to pick up the results of his medical but was advised that he needed to go back to the consulates medical facility and pay an additional $500 pesos (RD$) but was not informed as to why. I have been told by other family memeber who are in this process as well that they are now giving some sort of medication (pill) I am not sure what it is for but I will give an update on Thurdays after my fiance goes in a verifies this information. With this being said I HIGHLY ADVISE at least those in the Dominican Republic, DO NOT SCHEDULE INTERVIEW without atleast 3 weeks time from the medical exam. There isnt too much information on Santo Domingo Embassy but here's some info.

There is no packet 3 only a packet 4 which may not ever arrive.

You will need the letter NVC emails with case number (SDO2018******) for the medical and the DS-160 confirmation page with barcode for VAC biometrics appointment.

The medical exam does not require an appointment but it is advised to be there as early as possible as they only see a limited amount of patients per day (plan to be there by 6 am and dont expect to leave before 12pm)

You should schedule the biometrics appointment for the same day as the medical but for the afternoon (after 1 pm)  as both locations are near each other especially for those who do not live in Santo Domingo (only 1 trip = 1 travel cost).

After the case is in READY status in the embassy you have to schedule your own interview date and time ( dates are available as soon as the next day! but remember give yourself time to receive medical exam back as it is mailed to a pick up location of your choice).

I have read that the petitioner is not required to attend the interview but it is recommended. Those people who's fiance's/Spouse's do not attend the interview get asked many more questions than those who are.

I will also provide a review of the interview in about 2 weeks.

Feel free to message me with any questions, Im more than glad to help.

I've sent you a message love I need your help

I did sent the I-134 Affidavit of Support to my fiancé and waiting for NVC number to fill out the DS-160 form. In Pakistan how long its taking to schedule the medical, pay visa fees and book an interview? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Regards

My beneficiary is from pakistan too!

Once you get your case number from NVC, you can fill out ds 160 submit it, pay the visa fee, and book an appointment for medical and interview.

You don't have to wait for packet 3. They usually just send an email saying follow instructions on the ustravels website.

Mine is still in transit too. But I think someone said it usually takes a few days sometimes! I know somsomesomsomeosomsomesomsomeomsomsomesomsomeosomsomesomsomeome from England said 3 days.bc its DhL

I think the time might vary. Mine was stuck in transit for 16 days (it just changed to ready this morning, yay!)

but I'm hoping that's just because the embassy moved recently. His medical is on Monday and now we just need to figure out how to book the interview. As far as we know we have to wait on email to be sent with a confirmation number then he can book online.
