I still dont get when they get when the beneficiary gets the medical info... nvc has not received our petition from uscis (from last i called... tomorrow will make it 2 weeks). Does the beneficiary get the physical packet? Does the beneficiary fill the DS 160 as soon as we get the case number from NVC? right now we are just sitting ducks lol

Hahaha! I didn't fill the DS-160 Form until I got my Case # from NVC. The DS-160 Form is straightforward, but you can start now, save it and submit it when about to schedule your interview.

Packet 3, Medical...happen after NVC Case # and Ready status.

You can start compiling the Evidence of Relationship and Affidavit of Support.

For I-134... if I'm self-employed, do I have to get letters from bank, etc as supporting financial documents or are my tax transcripts for the last 3 years as proof of income sufficient?

So a google search for I-134 and you should see the US website link. It talks about what self employed individuals show present with their I-134.

I am the petitioner. When I fill out I-134, on section 'Income and Asset Information', 'Market value of my stocks and bonds'. Does this include 401k savings, I think it does, but just want to confirm.

I was wondering the same thing. I thought about including my 403(b) and the value of my mutual funds. I also want to confirm.. anyone have any idea.

I just called the National Visa Center for the first time and asked if they had my case yet. I was on hold for about three minutes. What a difference from USCIS..

Hello! So I started a new job today and decided to wait till my 1st paycheck to get the letter from my employer and bank to. However I won't receive one until June 1st. I think that's a long time to wait and I don't want to hold up the process because we all know the process is dreadful. Can I still request my letter from the bank and employer now or is it better to wait until my 1st paycheck?

Ok i have a problem. My approval notice does not say a consulate nor does it say it will be forwarded to NVC but it is approved and I am freaking out. I called NVC and she said uscis did not send the petition and she never heard an approval letter like this.

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-134instr.pdf Page 6 has the requirements. Anything not on that list will not be counted toward your "income". Keep in mind that if you can prove your income by the employer letter or 2017 Tax Return that you either meet or exceed then there is nothing to worry about and I wouldn't go overboard to "build a strong case". Just bring what is on the list.

Do you make (line 22 of your most recent tax return) more then what is listed for your family size as listed in the below document? If so you'll have an easy time. Prepare your documents but no need to go overboard with stacks and stacks of proof. They are looking to whether you meet or exceed the income level for your new family.

What approval notice and from whom? All approved I-129f (K1) are sent to NVC from USCIS. NVC is the only government entity that can assign the case number. If you want to post a copy of the letter, be sure to black out your personal information, maybe one of us can shed some light on your topic.

Keep in mind that this is going to be a marathon and not a sprint. You will hit speed bumps along the way. Things are not necessarily going to make sense. You have to find your patience or you will end up on the funny farm. I'm not kidding.
