Is this the typical message for In Transits? That NVC actually provides the interview date??

Just when I was rooting for NVC, my hopes were let down this morning :( I called them twice to see if they could let me know a timeframe of when my case will be sent to the consulate and both times I got the response "we don't know, there's no timeframe" Not even did they inform me of the possible "8 weeks" or that possibly soon phrase just the "we don't know" rough morning to say the least

Here is my experience. Any government agency that you will be in contact with during this entire process WILL NOT give you any more of an answer then either they don't know or 8 weeks (that's a ongoing response depending on what you are trying to accomplish and what the timeframe is in the process at that moment) ie. what you have heard thus far. Expecting anything else is fruitless. You can be :girlwerewolf2xn:or you can be :clock:.  It's always your choice.

My embassy requires packet 3 to be sent (Spain) so I will unfortunately have to wait for the consulate to mail out the document but from what I've heard for my country, medical isn't too difficult to get in, could be the same day/week

What country are you from, am from Nigeria and I have case and invoice number with me.... do you think we can make the appointments or we should just wait for the email....

We don't need to make appointments for medicals in Nigeria. We just need to wait to pay the visa fee (have the DS-160 confirmation page) and have the interview booked to before we can go for medicals.

My fiance is from Spain and for our embassy we have to wait for packet 3, because in packet 3 there is a letter that he actually needs to bring to his medical appointment, and in order to book the interview we have to have packet 4, so definitely depends on the embassy, I don't think the wait should be too long to receive packet 3 so I'm okay with waiting a week or so to see all the particulars referenced officially

I haven't received an email for the NOA2 or the change in status, it's all been from me calling and the only time I received even an official paper document was when the NOA2 happened around a week later
