Just asked her if he can book his medical because he has the case number now because I know they are filling up and won't be till the end of July. She said hold a bit longer because its not much further now.. Keep checking your email every so often this week. Its almost there.. So she must ohave known something but didn't want to press her because I know they are recorded and didn't want to get her in trouble for saying something she shouldn't

I see. Maybe I should also call and ask the same thing... :)

Or maybe can I directly ask what's the status of my case?

You shouldn't have to wait until it's in transit to book the medical. My fiance did as soon as it made it to the NVC. The interview has to wait until the application is ready at the embassy though

Yeah! Good idea.

Just wonder why some cases take so long while others are so fast. I have known people who only wait for 2 days from 'at nvc' to 'left nvc'....

Every embassy is different though, I thought the same thing and then I was actually referenced a form of what was required to bring to the medical for my fiance and one of the forms within packet 3 is an actual form you need to bring to the medical, so be careful with the assumptions, I thought exactly the same

Some consulates allow, some don't, so just clarify with possibly another VJ member from the same country in order clarify, that's the best reference for someone who recently has gone through it, or the country's forum on VJ

This is regarding the London embassy as far as I know. I do understand the differences though :)

OH cool! Thank you, so your case was still at the NVC when he made the appointment?

I'm quite sure it was. Too much chat log between now and then to go back and look and it appears he may be napping or out on a walk so it may take some time to get a definitive answer for you. Definitely try and schedule the medical now. The wait times are seriously long.

Ahhh lots of London members! That's great that all of you can relate to one another and reference each other during the process :dancing: My fiance is from Spain and although I feel as if everything will go smoothly, we have a lot of steps throughout the way.. waiting for packet 3 to be email to my fiance, then mailing back packet 3, then waiting for packet 4 from the embassy, then he can book his medical and interview after packet 4 is received
