Mine sat "at NVC" for a week too. I wouldn't worry about it. Trust it will change to "in transit" soon and if you're lucky (and your embassy is electronic processing) it will only take a day to become "ready" and a few days if they courier it to your embassy.

Thank you. I already did the DS-160 and got the number for it. Do I just need to wait for it to say ready to make the medical and interview? The country is Bosnia.

I'm not sure what the protocol is for Bosnia but I'm sure if you look up your country's portal you will find your embassy's procedure.

Mine is at NVC for 11 days now.

This is what i see when i log in at CEAC to see my status. I guess this is normal isn't it?

 

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

Yes normal. And no, do not follow any of those instructions. They are generic and don't apply to K1, as usual.

Start of another grueling week. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. NVC made an error and assigned us a case id for london instead of Islamabad.. we emailed and inquired via asknvc with attached proof of our intended embassy. Please pray they recognize their error and change it whilst it's still at NVC. 

It's been such a long weekend. 

And good luck to those who are waiting on the case id or who are in the final steps to being with their better half.

Hi All! 

I received my NOA2 5/29, but my official mailed letter stated it was approved 5/25. I would like to start calling NVC this week in order to get case # updates. 

 

In the meantime, what is the best recommendations on the next steps? I have my fiance collecting his police certificate, birth certificate with translation, immunization records, and pictures printed. 

 

Do we just wait to get the case number in order to start the DS160, and then wait for packet 3 from the consulate in order to book medical and interview?

 

On my end as the USC, I just need to start filling out the Affidavit of Support form with last years tax return? I would like to make sure we have as much prepared as possible to get the documents mailed back very shortly after receiving them for the consulate. He is from Spain for any fellow Spanish visa members!

Is anyone's fiancee from Cuba? I hoping someone could help me with which embassy to put on the DS-160. Do you still put Havana or do you just pick Georgetown?

I think he has like 8 pics. But i email our chats and he screen shotted the call logs from whatsapp and from regular phone calls I had more pics but didnt send in time before he travelled to Lagos
