A waiver is much more than a letter, it is a package.

Agreed, we have already done my wife's I-601A which was approved in 2017, now again preparing a huge list of documents for !-601 along with the letters.

Sorry for your plight , however that is seen as smuggling a person into the countrty (although her kid)  there are some leinency  with

a person own underage kid on a case by case basis that should have been addressed by tour atty....If all issues is not included on an

I 601 approval, another have to be applied for if other issues are found....Please never focus on another applicants case when looking

about your case just focus on your issues & not what they got lest you become confused & conflicted....Good Luck

Sorry but very confuse with your reply, plight? what is tour atty? I am 100% focused on my case and trying to help others in the same situation. That is what this platform is all about.

Most of us already know that.  But the package is based on that letter. You submit documents to support what you explain on that letter. And those supporting documents, with the letter create that package. Now what we are trying to clarify here is, how different is the letter for a waiver of alien smuggling ground than the letter for  the waiver for unlawful presence. For that, we need examples of an approved letter for a waiver of alien smuggling ground.

Hi All, My wife is from Mexico, her waiver was approved in 2017, we went to Juarez April 25th for an interview and they refused to give her visa because she brought her son (was 7 years old) in 1998. Now we need to file another waiver because she brought her own son into the United States who was 7 years old at the time, please be aware of this situation, I am US citizen and our three kids are US citizen but they still refused because eldest (now 27 years old) is not US citizen. I am heart broken, devastated and very sad that it was not approved, our eldest daughter (15 years old) has diabetes and youngest son (9 year sold) has developmental delays and had multiple surgeries, we had all medical records but they still refused it. The person who was interviewed before my wife with the same person (Mexican American agent) approved it even though he crossed the border three times and three arrests including DUI. Wish me luck...... and Good luck to you all, Any advise to comfort me would be highly appreciated, God bless you all.

Hi Everyone, Everything is good with the mercy of GOD, i cant believe my wife is already back home with me and kids.

Waiver filled - May 17

Juarez office called attorney's office to inform that they will look into the case - June 6

Waiver approved - June 18

Passport mailed to Juarez office - June 20

Passport received with visa issued - July 20

Traveled back home July 26, took 3 hours at the Airport because of many flights and many people with immigrant visas.

Good luck to all of you, I know it is hard but do good no matter what and have faith.

Did you file the I601a or the regular I601? If its the regular one that was fast I know 601a's are a lot sooner.
