I have to DJ a high school prom tonight. Funny thing, it is a primarily Hispanic student population for this school. They've made it clear to me that the students cannot request and I am not allowed to play any Hispanic music for them. They didn't explain the reasons why. Personally, it doesn't matter to me either. Their check cashes all the same to me whether I play any particular type of music or not! ;)

we are going to the in-laws for a BBQ and to watch the Oscar De La Hoya fight....

Tell me who wins! I'm not big on boxing but my uncle loves it and I'm sure he's doing the same thing (cookout and watching fight) today.

We planned to go to the celebration in St. Paul but it's raining and the event is outside... all day we were at this charity walk for animals for the local humane society and already got poured on once, so... maybe we'll just put some Mexican cheese on our dinner

 Wait...any Hispanic music in regards to the language (Spanish songs) or anything by a Hispanic artist? What kind of prom is that?

When I went to mine (feels like forever ago) we were able to request and the music was played as long as it was a clean language version.

I do have tequila and margarita mix!

Make my margarita virgin

A couple after my own heart  I love animals, and our jobs gives us two paid days off yearly to volunteer. I will be at the animal shelter for both days

Crackin up @ putting Mexican cheese on dinner

lots of blended mango margaritas and guacamole with friends!

Guac is something I can't stomach - along with mayonnaise, sour cream, cottage cheese, etc. I think it's the texture that turns me off.

The memo stated absolutely No Spanish language music. One guess is because of Cinco De Mayo. They do not want the Mexican students dominating the dance with their music and leaving the non-Mexican students being left out. Understandable. But I'm also guessing that they must have had a problem at their last dance with this situation to state they couldn't have any at all this time.

Happy birthday Joel'sWife!

To add, I'm not a fan of guacamole or cottage cheese either! ;)
