@LucyF Thank you for asking. Both of my cases were all done since 8.14.18. I am now a US Citizen. It took 7 months for N-400 and 19 months for I-751, a very long time.

Congrats on passing both. I am in LA too and interview is on Nov 13th in downtown building, at the 8th floor.

do you mind sharing your experience? Did they do the combo interview? how was the experience?

Thanks

Thank you for the advice!

I def will,  tbh I am not worried about proving anything not even the test

What I am worried about is having them proceed with the n400 interview and give me my well deserved citizenship lol...

I will def update everyone here once is done as I bet many people are curious... But hopefully by them their people already got the info that you supposed to do a joint interview

How is your interview? I am in LA too, interview on the 8th floor? did they do the combo interview for you case?

Hey guys so I also have my i751 still pending applied in CALIFORNIA service center in NOV 2016.

I applied for n400 under 3year rule in NOV 2017..

On 05/2018 I got a letter saying my I751 was transferred to Lee's  summit MO I believe which is USCIS NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER? to ''speed up processing time'' as it states on letter

on 06/10 I got my interview notice for N400 which says I will have interview on this month the day 16. It does not say anything about ROC/I751 on it...

It only says bring your green card/ spouse birth certificate/ marriage certificate...

I been assuming it will be a combo interview but I heard negative comments saying I must get a lawyer and ask for a combo interview? I won't get an interview because they will have to wait for a decision from that office my case was sent to?

Can anyone explain this better to me? Kinda worried now, thanks

Hello did you get your interview yet ? I just got mine ! Was combo and I brought my spouse

Hi guys,

I need your advice on my case whether I should take an action to request an interview from the USCIS? I sent my package of I751 on March 08, 2017 and then applied N400 in April 2018. Till now, I havent heard anything from the USCIS. I was too worried about my case since seeing many of you guys filling in March 2017 got the green card in the mailbox or interview if the filing combo; thus, I made a call to the USCIS for asking last week. Nothing was happy to me since that officers told that my case has been in process and waiting is normal to everyone, not only mine. For some reasons, I feel it is not ordinary to my case. Please advise if you guys have any ideas.

FYI: I'm living in Oakland, California (Bay Area). I filed I751 to the California Service Center in March 2017 and filed N400 online. On April 5, 2018, my case was transferred to the new office located in  Lee's Summit, MO for processing. My N400 filed on April 15, 2018 and got fingerprint on April 19, 2019. Nothing was updated from USCIS for both after that.

Thank you,

Jessie D.

I had my i751 and N400 combo interview on 12/10.

I did not bring my spouse.

After the interview, officer said he will recommend me for approval, and I should receive oath date within 4-6 weeks.

1 day later, I got a notice online that my I751 was approved. But N400 is not updated, it still says  "interview was scheduled"

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Everyone,

Few updates on my case

Applied for I751 - March 2017  - Still pending

Applied for N400 - Feb 2018 - Still pending

I got an invite on 12/31 as a late Christmas gift and i was so excited and shocked at the same time

The appointment was for 2/5. I studied for the civic text and prepared all my documents in case they ask for more. I showed up at the Atlanta service center, checked in and got my number. After 45min of wait an officer called my name. He took me near his office door and told me "unfortunately we can't conduct the interview today and we need to reschedule since my file was not sent to them"

I was so shocked and could not believe what he said. I asked more questions and he was making sure that he was not helpful.

Has any of you faced similar issues? How long is it going to take to reschedule?

Congratulations!

My case is very similar to yours, the difference is that the IO did not interview me for the I-751 at all, only the N-400,  but said that he would schedule another interview date for my spouse and I to go back together then he can approve the cases. Still waiting, at least there is a movement that my case was transferred to another office , hopefully that's not  computer errors that have been going on.

We just got a letter separate from the N-400 interview letter stating that we will also be having the I-751 interview. So I am now booking a ticket to be back for it (I was away traveling). We decided it was worth the extra few thousand dollars to just get this thing done with rather than requesting for USCIS to change the I751 interview to a date when i would be back. So now we have both the N-400 and I-751 interviews on July 15 at 8:05 AM...
