thanks for the update on this, I was wondering that as well. They got our RFE package on June 18th, so we're still waiting. Extremely frustrated with it though - it was largely a request for more financial evidence, which was easy enough to put together, but the genesis of the inquiry seemed to be around my lease. Case officer was concerned that I was on a month-to-month lease, when there is literally a box checked for "1-year lease." So, they appear to not have actually read or looked at the documents carefully. They also appear to have lost (or at least aren't reporting as received) a number of other documents we sent in our original package. Our case is at CSC

I asked the same question to another gentleman in this group, his took 18 days to be approved from the day they  received the RFE at CSC. My RFE got delivered and they updated the app the same day confirming the receipt. I dont think they looked at the documents I sent in the original  packet either. A lot of documents they requested were included in my original packet. One thing they wanted and I did not send was Driver's license for both of us with same address on it so I had to go get a new driver's license (I had not updated mine since we bought the house). They also wanted tax returns filed for 2018 (kinda hard to include that in the first packet since we filed in 2018). I am hoping they do mine in 18 days or less :)

Thank you!! :)

I do not think I got anything saying about tracking number. We have been on vacation for 3 weeks and meantime they sent me a letter with I-797 (Notice of action) notifying that in the next 60 days I will get my new green card. In another envelope was the green card. So I dont know which letter came first since we were overseas.

I had to look on the card again and yes it's with the american flag and statue of liberty.

Also I have to admit, I didnt follow my case status or anything after I got my biometrics done last year in May. I knew its gonna take a year at least and just waited for the card to come.

Just want to update y’all that a USPS tracking # will be provided once the USPS gets ur card and on the way to you. All the best to everyone still waiting.

Finally a movement in our application, but its for biometrics and an RFE! ugh.... well at least someone has actually "read" our application after 1 year and 1 month of waiting. Hopefully the RFE is not as difficult. By the way, anybody here has an experience on walking in for their biometrics? like a week before the actual biometric appointment? thanks!

In our case it was the financials as well. I am still frustrated that they take credit card statements over a jointly filed tax return.

I really hope all the evidence I sent is enough. We don't have a mortgage or children, so except for some bank statements and that kind of stuff there wasn't too much we could send.

Same. They wanted proof that I was making payments on rent, and I hadn't submitted credit card statements - just photocopies of the cards themselves. They also asked for my 2018 tax return, which I sent along with the corresponding W-2s.

I sent everything they asked for, plus driver's license photocopies, a utility bill, car insurance policy with both names listed, 5 credit card statements (2 cards, 3 statements for Card 1 and 2 for Card 2), as well as 3 personal affidavits from third-parties. I also resubmitted my lease, but this time I highlighted the pertinent section that clearly states it's a year-term. Hopefully, that should do it!

My wife missed her appointment but did a walk-in about a week later; it was no big deal. This probably happens all the time.

Thanks! I'm thinking of walking-in for my biometrics (we live in columbus ohio), since we will be out of town on the date of my appointment. hopefully it will be ok. meanwhile, we'll wait for that dreaded RFE letter to arrive.

Hi guys, just wanna share some update with my case. I also got the biometrics letter on 6/22 (notice date 6/14), appointment is scheduled on 7/5.

Old USCIS site still can't provide my case info and the new site only shows they received my case last year. I'll check if both sites show something different after giving my fingerprints.

I’m in the exact same situation. Nothing updated for me after doing the biometrics on 6/11, still. Completely in the dark. Please let me know if something changes for you after your appointment.

Ours did the same. It only updated (on the old site) the day after our fingerprints were taken.  The new site remained on Case Received until yesterday.  I think the biometrics appointment, once complete and submitted by your local office, triggers the site to update your case online.

Frustrating, yes. Try not to worry about it though. This seems to be the trend so it's normal.

Hey guys! I am a May 2018 filer for Removing conditions and I did not get any biometrics appointment like many of you. I got my 10 year green card 3 weeks ago though.

I am wondering why so many of you has that biometrics again? Did I miss something?

Biometrics were waived in the thousands and thousands over the course of a week (late feb-early march). They did this most likely to make it look like cases were moving, when they actually weren't.

Once they actually started going through the cases, they either continued with the waiver like in your case, or decided that to continue to process the case they needed to pull back the waiver and ask for biometrics.
