Yes, we never had a transfer or notice about additional biometrics.  The online USCIS case tracker didn't change until the day we received the card.  Also, the phone app seems to have issues refreshing.  I had to delete the case number and put it back in before it showed the case had moved, so beware if you are tracking with the phone app.

Bit of a lurker here, just wanted to post my update for you all.

 

Most recently - Did biometrics at Jacksonville last week on Tuesday the 4th of June. My appt was at 3pm, but they allowed me to walk in at 2pm. It was very quick and easy.

 

I have been with CSC the whole way through my removal of conditions - no transfer. I too received a biometrics waiver letter in Feb like everyone else, then got the appt letter for June 4th.

 

It's been a week with no status change - New site still says 'Case was received  8 June 2018' (but was actually May). Old site says fingerprint review was completed as of June 7 2019.

 

Hopefully I get my 'card being produced' notice soon.

I just got an email notice that they’re mailing us an RFE. I can’t wait to see what it’ll be for since I thought our evidence was pretty solid. 

Has anyone else received an RFE and if so what was it for?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share a quick update for the table. I completed my biometrics yesterday and the old website is now finally recognizing my case number and is showing "Fingerprint Review Was Completed". The new website is still stuck on "Case Was Received". Just happy to see that things started to move

I received an RFE because they didn't have enough proof of shared financials, even though I did send in filed tax returns, shared car insurance,...

 

I am still gathering some of the examples they brought up, but it's not easy as we don't have children or a mortgage and a lot of the things they mention we do have, but when I am asking for a statement from the provider it doesn't always show both our names. So, I am hoping it'll be easier for you.

 

We still have until sometime in August to send everything in, but I just want it out of the way as quick as possible!

One of the things that really helped us with our response to the RFE we received for more "marriage bonafides" was to get our wills, durable powers of attorney, and living wills prepared. We sent copies of our documents in our RFE response. We used a well known online service, however there are many available options. These documents are very useful in your regular life together. Though you often don't want to think about it, to leave your partner intestate, without a will, could leave them in a precarious legal situation. Better to be safe, than sorry.

We don't have any of that at the moment, as we don't own anything.

The only thing I have is a life insurance, so I'll get that for them.
