You could leave it out and see if they ask for it. All you need to do if write a statement saying that y’all did not work and did not make enough to be legally required to file taxes for 2016.

I’m going to do that ! That’s sounds great, thank you very much for the response ! Hopefully I don’t get a RFE or anybody

I second that. I imagine they weigh the totality of the proof you submit, so a reasonable, simple explanation should pass muster

Thank you JMDI , I’m going to do what ash suggested and you recommend, I guess I have a plenty amount of evidence to show a marriage of good faith and If I do get a RFE just write statement declaring the reason why . My evidence is looking like over 159 pages

Given what is being reported on the April 2018 thread, I would not expect CSC to start cashing checks anytime soon...

Agreed. If you sent yours in at the beginning of May, you’re looking at the very end of June/first week of July at the earliest.

CSC reps are saying the wait time is 60 days now, not 30 days.

Given that they are aware of the massive backlog at the CSC, one would hope that they would be more amenable to giving the I-551 passport stamp to those who make an infopass appointment and are able to show proof of delivery... but that does not seem to be the case. It may still be worth trying once the 30-day mark has been breached. The worst they can do is say no...

I agree. They always say that you’re in status when you apply, but then there’s the fine line of proof. I think if they are aware there is a backlog, and someone shows up with a fedex receipt showing shipment purchase and the proof of delivery with a common signature for the center, then it should be enough proof that it was sent and they have it, they just haven’t touched it.

You will be ok, you have to file within 90 days starting 05/26/2018. That being said and due to the huge delays with USCIS I would recommend you to send it as soon as possible after May 26

Good luck with your case.

What I am reading here is not very encouraging.

Our petition was delivered to the California service center on 5/5, greencard expires on 6/18. (entered this in the Excel sheet)

I am a little nervous as I changed my address 6 months ago, and I am just hoping that didn't mess up anything.

So good to have you all!

Why would changing address affect anything? Sorry for asking :) I’ve changed 3 different addresses, I guess it’s nothing bad

When I filed my petition for the greencard two years ago I read a few things about it and it would take longer if someone would change the address in the process and stuff like that...

Plus, I am just really anxious about it I guess.

So your post is definitely a little more calming :)
