Filers are now getting 18mth extension letters (I'm one of them). Your next step would be to schedule biometrics but persons from Jan 2018 group have gotten letters in May indicating that they do not have to attend biometrics appointments.

Oh waw I guess thats why they added another 6 months to the extension, I got 12 months, so I guess just wait and see. If nothing comes up I will just go ahead an apply for citizenship in Marsh when I am due

Applying for citizenship is all fine and dandy BUT please know that your N400 will not be approved until your RoC comes to date for an interview to be scheduled.

Yah I haven't received biometrics from CSC as well.

 

But I just got back from France one day after my old green card expires.

 

Come back no issue with the extension letter only.

We just discovered something that might be helpful to others and thought of sharing it.

If you can't view your case status online (which has been the case with us since we received our NOA1 letter), try the following:

• Log in or register at https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
• Click on (My account) on the right top corner of the page
• Under (Account actions), select (Add a paper-filed case)
• Enter your case number, and it should be added to your account

Apparently they mailed out some green cards with the wrong expiration dates. At least, that's what I read last. They had to retract them and everything is backed up at that service center.

Hello, I just received a notice with 18 months extension. It says:

 

"According to our records, you previously received an I-751 receipt notice that extended your conditionalre sidents status for 12 months. Due to delays in processing, USCIS is now extending your conditional status for 18 months from the expiration date indicated on your form I-551, Permanent Resident Card (also known as green card)"
