CSC just cashed their first check today, from a file that was delivered April 6th.

Only one person has said this though, and more and more applications have piled ontop of those that just sat there, so 60-75 wait time is probably pretty accurate for CSC.

Agreed. If you sent yours in at the beginning of May, you’re looking at the very end of June/first week of July at the earliest.

CSC reps are saying the wait time is 60 days now, not 30 days.

Dang, that really sucks.

Mine expires on 6/30, delivered to Vermont on 5/4.

Hypothetically, what happens if we haven't received our NOA by the expiration date?

What happens with employment?

It looks like several checks from April filers are being cashed today so it's finally moving!

Plus, some NOAs were received today as well (both CSC and VSC).

So, maybe they'll pick up speed now :)

Vermont is about a 30 day turn around, CSC is the long wait. So you should have yours before June 30th.

From what I've read on here, you can continue to work because you have filed. You can not get a new job in that time frame tho, as they will need an unexpired green card for the I-9. But if you don't plan on quitting your job, then nothing should happen and you're good to keep working.

You are legal in the US until USCIS revokes that status.

Any idea if we would be able to change jobs once we have the NOA1?

Considering there is an up to 19 month wait time on getting the green card, there are good chances that someone might want/need a new job in the meantime...

Yes. The NOA is a 1 year extension of the green card. Presenting the expired Green Card with the NOA is the same as having an unexpired green card.

I need to understand something here, so Basically since the April filers seems to be having there checks cashed now at almost 6 weeks. Then we May filers should be looking at getting our checks cashed about Mid July & about a Year to getting a renewed GC? I ask this due to the fact that i have been so worried there was something wrong with my package hence why my check was not yet cashed. Also if there is an error in the application sent in to USCIS and it is past the GC expiration date, what happens?

Hi all,

I apologize in advance if this has been answered. I have a question regarding the cover sheet for the I-751.

Is there any instruction as to whether one or both spouses has to sign it? My understanding is that the non-citizen spouse is the petitioner now, and so she/he has to sign. What about the citizen spouse?

We are about to send our package :)

oops! Second question. Is there any way to know in advance if we will be required to do Biometrics, and does anyone suggest sending two separate checks for form and biometrics? Or should I just send one check to cover both?

Thanks in advance, and congratulations to the rest of you for getting yours in! Our window has just opened :)
