Oh wow, yours is even more weird!  So you actually did the biometrics, then got a waiver and now you have to go again? We got three waivers for bio's over the course of the past year and a month ago we got an appointment scheduled. Once the fingerprints were done things started moving pretty quickly. It took about a week from the appointment to the status change saying our card was being produced and the another 5 days for the card to get here.

FWIW we did not get any tracking number or anything from USCIS. My status still says card is being produced but it arrived last week.

I hope we follow the same path and do not have to go for interview! I'm scared that the interview will be scheduled months away and too close to my due date but perhaps seeing me super pregnant will help our case. I will definitely update after our biometrics this Wed if we get any status changes. Congrats to you!

I just got an RFE.  May filer, California service center. I'm less than overjoyed as I had blitzed the documents (so much shared stuff, rental agreements, car title, insurance, bills, travel overseas tickets!!) and the message from USCIS is muddled.

One question to the community, we've had a joint bank account for the duration of our marriage, so I only sent a recent month's statement because .. you know SO MANY PAGES (plus I sent months and months of statements in the initial GC application) but they have written "bank statement April 2018 do not include transaction histories showing co-mingling of finances prior to filing this application". We always pay our rent through that account, get groceries and pay some bills through it so what do they want? Should I be sending them every bank statement historically, and highlight our shared bills such as rent payments? How far back should I go?

It's super annoying. Also we joint file our federal taxes (I sent both transcripts for 2017 and 2018) but that statement wasn't enough as it didn't include w-2's ? Husband is a disabled veteran and I am a freelancer .. neither of us get w-2s. Why are w-2's so important?

Anyway, thanks for listening, just blowing off steam. I'm finding it very frustrating.

Thanks

You should send them all that and a kitchen sink (jk). That's what I did. I mailed them two years worth of transaction statements from one of our joint credit cards.  I also took screenshots from some of those statements showing examples of joint spending under each of our's names. Such as when we took trips and the CC was used to pay for coffee at the airports and shopping at trip locations. I pasted those screenshots in a word document and highlighted the purpose of the spending. I also sent them our joint checking bank account statements spanning the time of marriage. Although that contained only direct deposits and the payment for the joint cc.

Just curious if you had received your card yet. We were both approved on the same day. The approval letter arrived on Tuesday but online status still says “Card is being produced” as of Jun 27. I know it’s a holiday week. Wonder if it has anything to do with the delay.

My status changed on Friday to "Card was mailed".

Haven't received it yet, but I guess it should arrive this week.

Hey guys, how long after new biometrics your status got updated? It’s been 11 days for me and no update yet, what’s the average?

Mine was updated the same day according to the tracking app. But I think you should try not to worry too much about the online status coz there are many bugs and glitches..

I'm in the same situation.  My status is stuck at "card is being produced" since Jun 27.  We also have received the approval letter dated 6/27 but no sign of card mailed out.  I thought it only takes a couple of days for USPS to pick up and deliver in a week.

Oh, you were actually approved a day before me on the 26th. Mine was the 27th and I received the approval notice on July 2nd. So far, no card and the status is still shown “card being produced”. I guess everyone at USCIS took a long holiday weekend off. 😄

possibly there is an issue with the card issuing machine?

Like they printed wrong gender on the cards for some people a few months back?! Lol I can’t imagine if I had to go thro  the process again to fix the error on the card. 😑

anyway, my status changed to “card was mailed to me” today on July 8th. Hope yours did as well.

Yeah mine also got updated today, 12 days after.  I guess the July 4th holiday must have been the cause.

Hi guys, long time follower of this thread. Seems a lot of us are on the same page.

I got a biometric appt. for the second week in June. Was confused as I know my prints don’t change. Think it was to check a box. Big shout out to San Francisco office. Nice people and done in 30 minutes! About 2 weeks later I received a letter saying my ROC was approved and I’ll be receiving my card shortly. No need for an interview. Four days later it arrived.

Very happy as I came as K1 fiancé but am divorced now and wasn’t sure how that would look. Expected at least an interview. Luckily I had a great lawyer, good evidence, and my ex wrote a statement supporting me.

13 months was a long process but other than biometrics I really didn’t have to do much.

If anyone is worried about their card being processed, you can track it online once the post office have it.

Good luck to you all!

Hi @citybou , I just wanted to ask if you filed ROC with a waiver and if you can share a little bit more about the statement your ex wrote for your supporting documents.

Thanks!

Yes we filed the waiver. There were special circumstances about the divorce which I won’t get into here, but we both wrote statements detailing what happened backed up with evidence. Finished with That she supported my application and wished me the best etc. The lawyer attached that to my case. Pleasantly surprised not to get an interview for further questions, but if you tell the truth backed up with evidence then you’ll have a chance!

To all the people where the status changed to "Card has been mailed" last week or "Card is being produced" in the last couple of weeks and that are wondering when it should arrive:

On Monday my status changed again. It now shows that USPS picked up the card on Monday and it's on the way. In my case it's supposed to arrive today.

This means it looks like, even once the status changes to "Card has been mailed" it might still take a few days until it's actually in USPS hands.

So, be patient and relax. Card will be there soon! :)
