That is how you can tell they are Swedish, because if they were Danish or Norwegian, it would be -sen or some other varieties detailing location.

 

The teachers at the high school here all have their names on plaques outside the classrooms and every single one is either a -son, -sen, or -ski (go Poles!).

 

Minnesota story time:  we were up in a more rural/Northern area and I heard just about the most stereotypical Minnesota accent that I've ever come across.  It was so thick and old-timey.  AMAZING.   The take away from this story is that there are area more northerly and rural than where we live and people who reside there are very isolated.  Also, that even the gas stations there have Velkommen written on them.

Duly waited the 2-hour window for call about pest-treatment for the r-casa, requested by incipient tenants man.

Upon no call at the 2-hour mark, called them, call them we man.

"The service window is 1 to Many p.m.," the idiot said, say idiot man.

"No, it wasn't, no man -- it was Many a.m. to noon, si man," said we to idiot man.

Other technician then called us to meet at r-casa at 1 p.m., rectification man.

However, this was for an inspection and not for the job, blindsided we man.

Actual quote for one-time service was $Many -- yes, $Many, absolutely outrageous man.

It was Many times the estimate by the appointment-setting chica on Mon., steamed we man.

Furthermore, inspector spent Many minutes trying to sell us a termite package, don't need termites man.

We politely told inspector that their fees could take a long walk off a short pier, polite we man.

Found other co. to do one-time treatment for one-Many'rd of above quote, so there man.

 

Donated stuff to favorite resale shop & got free bread, delicious excess from Food Bank man.

 

Dry-cleanerette not there, taking newly stroke-afflicted husband to doctor, poor she & he man.

 

Local NAPA Auto Parts store permanently closed as of June Many'th, unpleasant surprise to we man.

Mowed back lawn, highly necessary man.

Then ran over front lawn again, actually a noticeable difference after just Many (2+1) days man.

Just Many (2+2) hours thereafter, it rained like an illegitimate male child, good timing man.

Supposed to rain almost all July Many'th, some fireworks canceled man.

 

Bilingual neighbor-chica came over to yak with Mrs. T-B. & Mama-Mrs.-T-B., yak yak yak yak YAK they man.

Barely got short nap-without-cat, unsuccessful zzz we without miu man.
