We had 408 in power and 18 therms in natural gas (they're run by the same company here.)  We have A/C, 2 computers, 2 tvs, and the ps4.  hubs leaves lights on all the time but i turn them off.  I keep the a/c around 80 when we're not home.  It's cooler in the basement and the cats can go down there and the dog is with me at work in a/c I don't have to pay for! :D  When we're home we keep the thermostat set around 74°F

Our electricity bill is crazy but redneck and baby redneck run the air conditioning from spring to fall.

Redneck has pneumonia, MIL is pretending to have bronchitis (except she keeps forgetting she can't breathe) stepdaughter has yet another ingrown toenail removed and Oscar dog is back to vomiting and has random bald patches appearing.

Usual mayhem here

Could be a food or allergy issue.  Try a bland diet for a couple days and if you can afford some allergy testing on him then do so.  I don't know how big he is, but Nero is on Apoquel.  It's a drug for dogs with environmental allergies (hubs refuses to do allergy testing or to do a food trial.)  But smaller dogs do well with an injection called cytopoint.  It's not a drug and relieves most allergies.  Licking feet, ear infections, red belly and underarms, are all signs of allergies.

Yes, well, my house isn't in the pits of hell, so 90 is ungodly hot.

I agree.  It's been up to 100 here and it's just too hot.  The a/c keeps coming on even when set at 80 degrees.  I can live with 85... But 90 makes me wish we had a beach nearby, and I can't take the dog for a walk anymore because he'll burn his feet.

So, my car...after 11 months, there's 4300 miles on the thing...

The first service was due at 6 months or 5000 miles. Lexus is hounding me to get it serviced (it's included).

OK, so I'm gonna take a ride to NJ to get it serviced.

Why in NJ?

Because, EVERY new car dealer in NYC is a shyster!

NJ too, the difference is that NJ's laws and regulations in regards to the auto industry is extremely strict.

How bad is NYC?

My last car, the accord...

I drove it to a dealer here in Brooklyn for service.

"Sir, you see those 2 poles that you just drove thru? they're wheel alignment readers, and it says you need an alignment"

Me, "Really? They look like 2 galvanized steel bumper poles to me"

Service guy, "Well, they're not"

Me, "OK, I don't want an alignment"

Service, "But you won't pass inspection"

Me, "I'm not getting my car inspected here"

Service, "But you'll need an alignment"

Me, "So, you're telling me that a gently driven Honda Accord with 3000 miles on it needs an alignment. So what you're basically saying is that this car is a total piece of ####, right? If you want to align it, go nuts, as long as you bill Honda for it"

Service, "That's not what I'm saying, and it's not under warranty"

Me, "Look, enough already, just change the ###### oil!"

That' how it goes all the time in any given NYC dealer ....

Thank you :)

He's a boxer so not a small dog lol

He eats the same food he's been having since we moved here, no other signs of any allergies but he's bad for not showing any hints until he's really unwell, poor lad just carries on as normal until he drops.

My first thought was flea allergy (he has the collar, the name of which I forget but not the price! ) anyway I bathed him and went over him with the flea comb and not a single one was found.

I'll take him back to the vets and see what he suggests :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

In their defense, my brand new Subaru needed an alignment.

Damn thing is pulling to the right again 1.5 years after its last one and with about 3000 miles too.

I'm done with Subarus.
