We'll often awaken in the morning and see that Cat has dropped both a wrapper and a fuzzy ball on our bedroom floor, desirous miu man.

 

She wants Daddy to awaken from a dead sleep to play with her, and she has made two attempts toward same, sweet little miu man.

This one, my cousin from Cali. She drops off her bags, "ok I'll be back around 11". 

Now that's just wrong...that's just using my house like a hotel. 

And it's a school night!

Now, I know everyone enjoys my hospitality. And they love to visit NYC. 

But the part that they don't see is the amount of guests that visits us. So my cousin doesn't know that we just had visitors last month. They don't know that it really is overwhelming. 

I'm sure that this is going to be a bad year with 2 or 3 more sets of guests for the year. And each of them thinks that they're the only ones I host...

Mrs. T-B., perhaps in cahoots with Mama-Mrs.-T-B., emptied some Kitchen Jetsam boxes today, egad man.

They obviously wanted to begin using the newest drawers in the former bar area, conclude we man.

 

One drawer contains only a couple of unidentifiable plastic objects, great utilization man.

Another drawer contains a box of Mini-B.'s crayons that he hasn't used since age 2, great utilization man.

A Many'rd drawer contains only the coupons that we kept elsewhere so we'd know where they were, grrr man.

A Many'th drawer contains dead flashlight batteries eternally meant (but never taken) for recycling,  man.

The Many'th and Many'th drawers are utilized similarly,  man.

We are going to have to redo absolutely everything about this stupid new kitchen, why did we pay for it man.

We wanted chocolate and resolved to stop at nothing until we procured some, oj tak and nie.

Fortunately, no one else had yet ingested the remaining Many (2+1) Manichos, serendipitous man.

If Mrs. T-B. nags us about this, we shall point out that she had every chance at them for days, so there man.

And Papa-Mrs.-T-B. can bring more when he comes in July, point out in addition we man.

Never heard that there was a very large drug trade in Uruguay. Then again, there are no Talibans in Saudi Arabia either. Uruguay does have that one guy who likes to bite his opponents, sort of like Mike Tyson with Evander Holyfield.

I think that unfortunately the more drawers and storage one has, the more things one gets to fill them.  I recently did my once yearly kitchen "junk drawer" emptying and that is always refreshing.  I really only keep keys, potholders, scrap paper for grocery lists, pens, and bag ties in it, but it of course accumulated crayons, a label maker, calculators, door alarms, pumpkin carvers, geocache travel bugs, and many charging cables.

 

My kitchen is tiny, so a lot of the stuff is in the basement: appliances, canned food, not often used pans, etc.

I have no time to myself just lately.

MIL decided she would offer to cover cleaning jobs for EVERYONE in the church when they go on vacation. This would be fine if she was able to do the work. She can't and I only find out once they've gone on vacation and MIL has the building keys.

I am working for free, MIL is getting paid by the church members and they all think she's wonderful.

I am going to snap and tell them all that an 84 year old woman is not doing all their heavy cleaning and if they weren't so stupid they'd know this - I don't care who gets mad or embarrassed this has to stop.

 

We have finally started ripping out our master bath, it's a fabulous feeling knowing it'll be done soon & then we can start on the kitchen 😁
