Man you know the common core contradicts itself. Oh it's about equalizing the kids all right....By bringing the top down!

 

And the purpose of the common core, so they say, is about getting the kids ready for the work place. That's fine and dandy, if we want a country full of chicken pluckers...

 

That's why even NY now, (the state, not the city), says it wants to wean away from the common core. And it's not for any good reason, either! I forgot her name, NY state spends more money per kid than any other state, so they want kids to reflect on that money spent. 

 

I forgot the program....but we're starting with that next school year. It's slightly more advanced than the common core. 

 

But you can't use that program in the ghettos (and it's really not the ghetto). The kids don't wanna learn! Which goes back to saying that the common core is holding back the kids in the schools with better students. But you can't put the poorer performing students in those schools with the advanced programs. They can't keep up, and you'll hold the other kids back. 

 

It goes round and round...

 

The solution? Give merit where merit is due!! Stop asking, "what can we do to destroy these great schools?"

All these states around here spends a tremendous amount of money on their kids. And some of those kids excel. Leave them alone! Let them go as far as they can, as far as they want. Don't disrupt them. Don't #### with the schools that are doing great.

And you know what else this other schmuck public advocate said ( first of all, why do we even have a public advocate?? It's the absolute most bogus position in this city). She said....that the PTAs in the richer neighborhoods with lots of money in their coffers should share the money with the poorer neighborhood schools....

 

How stupid can you get? If the parents in our school realize that whatever money we put in, gets sent to other schools....do you think we'd give another #### dime to the PTA?? As if they didn't take enough of my money thru city and state tax...they already get more free #### than anyone else. Like free tablets, free subscription to educational sites, free books, free school supplies, free lunch, free after school, etc...(see what I mean about the resources?)

 

What kind of a stupid, stupid thing for this idiot to say. Ok fine, do it and see how fast all the PTAs run out of money...

We are blearily pleased to report that Mama-Mrs.-T-B.'s arrival was as smooth as could be, see senior she man.

 

Plane was Many (2x2x2-1) minutes early, OK man.

We got to airport just after landing, timely we man.

We inspected Arrivals board to determine how many simultaneous flights were arriving, inspect we man.

Just as we turned around, a voice called our name, 'twas senior she man.

 

CBP gave her an easy time (for once) and even joked with her, report she man.

Bag was one of first onto the carousel, propitious man.

 

She was back at our casa by Many (2x2x2-1) a.m., even missed the go-to-work traffic man.

 

After successful home delivery, we napped for Many (over 2+1) hours, exhausted we man.

Found out today that I need crown and root canal #7.  It was a large very old amalgam filling from my wee years that was already close to the nerve.
