Been using the MiFi. Went over the cycle by 2 gigs.

Wow. Are they at least saying they know what the problem is, and giving any indication of when they might get around to mending it?

Ok the long version...

 

1-Friday morning, I get a text from Verizon, "theres an outage in your area, it'll be resolved by 0400 Saturday". 4 Verizon trucks are parked on the corner all day long messing with the wires. 

 

2- I get a text Friday night, "good news, your outage is resolved, text NO if you still don't have service"

So, I text NO. 

 

3- Saturday morning, another text, your outage is a problem in your house"

 

4- a tech calls me, "we'll have to come to your house. I said, the problem is not in my house. Everyone around here has no service. He said, "ok, but we'll come Tuesday to make a determination" 

 

5- I get a text Sunday, "we've determined that your problem is a part of a bigger outage, a response to your house in not necessary" 

 

6- yesterday, in the middle of my BBQ, a tech calls me, "I'll be at your house in 15 minutes". I'm like, Verizon said that it's not necessary. And it was supposed to be tomorrow. But ok, come. He comes, says the problem is not in my house. He goes to the corner, says the cables are the problem. I get a text from VZ again last night, "we'll have the problem resolved by 2300, last night" 

 

7- I get a call this morning from another tech, "I'll be at your house in 15 minutes" I'm like dude....stop...the problem is on the corner! The corner!

 

8- I get a text from VZ, your problem is fixed! And of course, no, it's not...so I texted  NO, I get a call, I'm like, dude...the corner! Go to the corner! And, you owe me 30 bucks for the overage on my MiFi + the lost service! He says, oh take that up with your wireless carrier. I'm like, you ARE my wireless carrier! 

 

And has anyone gone to the corner since Friday? No...

 

I think there's like 3 different departments of VZ working on this, and, none of them talk to each other...

Arose at o'dark-Many to ready ourself for Mini-B.'s awards ceremony at skool, unheavenly hour man.

Mini-B. got a Texas Readers' Award for having read more than Many (2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2+2) books, literate wee man.

 

Afterwards, Mama T-B. (also attending) came to the casa for a "surprise," obtuse we man.

She loved the new kitchen, mild surprise man.

She asked only Many questions about how we paid for it*, far under quota for senior she man.

When Mrs. T-B. hesitantly provided the figure ($Many,000), Mama T-B. said, "That's a bargain," conclude senior she man.

Like tanning oil that people used in the early 90s before they cared about skin cancer?  It has kind of a tropical vibe.  My hair is basically devoid of natural grease at this point, so it isn't like it gets really dirty or anything.

That sucks.... What sucks with me is that I have a really smart Samsung 65 inch TV with no friggin actual tv remote to switch between the different apps like Netflix, AJ, or Amazon. So I am stuck watching Filipino tv on Direct TV. I have seriously looked around every freaking where for the remote....... Hopefully the dang baby didn't put it in the trash because trash day is TODAY
