Place packed with gringos, holiday weekend man.

 

Got bloodwork, haircut*, clean-earing, & ring-resizing done before noon, much of agenda man.

Full bloodwork report ready in under 2 hours for $Many ($2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2x2 + 2), deal man.

Doc for clean-earing, necessary man.

Found more of our favorite shampoo for ourself & Mini-B., buy we man.

Stocked up on medicines of all sorts, bargain man.

Got 2 T-shirts & a 2-piece soccer outfit for Mini-B., dapper wee man.

Found Many (2x2x2) cans of tuna salad for Mrs. T-B., can't find in U.S. man.

Found 2 magazines for Mama-Mrs.-T-B.'s later visit, reading material man.

 

By this time, we had soaked through 2 more shirts and Many (2+1) thick sweatbands, good grief man.

 

At Many (2+2+1) p.m., we had accomplished agenda and were exhausted, out-wiped we man.

No line whatsoever at POE, strange man.

CBP agent thorough but cordial, readmitted us man.

 

For din-din, ingested "lonches" at a small restaurant in a small S. Texas town, did the job man.

Packed up all stuff, had to check bag what with the shampoos man.

 

Flight home landed early, boon man.

Checked bag one of first off, propitious man.

We noted that the zippers were positioned differently, presume TSA pawed it man.

 

At casa, Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. had waited up for us, half-past Many (2x2x2+1) p.m. man.

Mrs. T-B. thrilled with canned tuna salad, appreciate she man.

Mini-B. overjoyed with T-shirts & soccer outfit, put latter on right away wee man.

 

However, we noted that our GPS was missing from our checked bag, stolen man.

No TSA note of "we have pawed your stuff" inside, no man.

Made report with airline before midnight, no action on holiday weekend man.

Unsure who stole it, probably unrecoverable man.

Sorry update on eternal kitchen renovation, drawn-out debacle man.

 

Repair Mexicans labored all Friday tiling the backsplash and trying to plumb, major difficulties with latter man.

Garbage disposal wouldn't fit under right side of sink, weird sink design man.

It is now on the left side, connected via a labyrinth of pipes, only solution man.

Supplies missing to do sink-warshdisher connection, too much for one day man.

 

RMs don't work Saturdays so will return Sunday, job might finally be finished then man.

We should then have a kitchen back, finally man.

During this kitchen reno, Mrs. T-B. has managed to foul our linens as follows, sigh man:

 

1.  Depleted our necessary supply of kitchen rags, yucked-up permanently man.

2.  Ruined most of our guest towels, meant solely for bathroom man.

Many.  Cut up 2 good bath-towels for use as high-tech Ecu brooms*, tear our hair out man.

 

*rags on sticks, Ecu stuff man

 

Do we all see why we buy so many linens at GSs/ESs all the time, see man?

Gracias, Niki-B. ma'am.  We had a smaller, much older one that we used for GS-ing today, and in fact we were reminded that we liked several aspects of it better than those of the stolen one, oh well man.

After GS-ing, we took Mini-B. to lunch at Arby's, coupons expiring soon man.

Mini-B. was silent and teary for most of the whole time, because Mrs. T-B. had yelled at him, misbehaving wee man.

He seemed to enjoy the curly fries, and he ate half of his gut-bomb, decent appetite wee man.

 

We then asked him where he wanted to go, and he murmured, "You choose, Daddy."

We said, "How about the park, huh wee man?"

He said, "Yes!"

We said, "Which one, huh wee man?"

He said, "The one by my skool."

 

Went to park by skool, actually skool playground man.

No one else was there, far too hot man.

 

We asked Mini-B. to show us what he played on, ask we of wee man.

Mini-B. perked up and gave us a guided tour with complete demonstrations, excited wee man.

We expressed our admiration, and he perked up back to normal jovial wee self, finally man.

He drank the rest of his Fanta Orange from Arby's, and we returned to the casa, return we & wee man.

By this time, Mrs. T-B. had calmed down from whatever was eating her, temper-prone she man.

 

All this time, Mini-B. was wearing his little soccer outfit again and looked both dapper and cute, little wee man.

Funny that, Tbone. Mine don't work Saturdays either. I wasn't aware of that, thinking Sunday might be the logical local choice, so I was up at 0530 yesterday for nothing. I did get the laundry done and out on the line, but felt I was walking uphill through quicksand all day long. Today they are back, out there banging away since 0700. I hope we aren't too long from being done with this, It looks wonderful, like a new house, and they are meticulous in every last detail, I've never seen a crew do more actual work in a day.

 

On the upside, it's been very hot and meant to get hotter this week. The new windows and insulation have already made a difference to how cool it stays in here.
