Oh, our gosh, unbelievable man!

A veritable cascade -- oj nie, torrent -- oj nie, gullywarsher -- of POTS orders, incoming all at once man.

Parents, relatives, friends wanting to buy Graduation POTSs for the stoodents in their orbit, thoughtful & wise man.

 

Most prevalent request = the typical "Congratulations, Graduate!", pedestrian man.

Next most popular = "Time to Pull Up Your Big Boy/Big Girl Pants," far more clever/appropriate man.

Mu$t proce$$ order$ and $erve the cu$tomer, $i man.

Afternoon/evenin', Bimbo-eatin' and other babes with parsimoniously allocated +1 inventories!

My yard looks as though a bomb's gone off. Or a house exploded, which in a way I suppose makes sense. They are finishing up the insulation and gable ends today, and might be able to start the actual siding tomorrow. I hear they expect to be done by Friday. This getting up in the dark nonsense irritates me no end.

I tore down my chimney and ripped out the fireplace. Placed a sheet of plywood in the hole and used spray foam to seal it up for now. I bought plywood siding kind of stuff and insulation. Now the rain needs to go away so I can get it done. 

Oh and I can't get the spray foam off my hands. I knew I should have stopped to put on gloves. 

 

Sorry to hear about that Nola. I hope she does help you out like she said she would. Would not have been so bad if she didn't volunteer to pay for it. 

 

Di, the end is in sight. The next few months will go by fast. Enjoy your family now and get so sick of them you want to puke  This way maybe you won't miss them right off the bat.

That spray foam stuff it awful, it works, but it does become one with you. I was annoyed because even though I have gloves, I didn't think I needed them. That worked out well.

I had use some of that in my last job and ended up throwing out those clothes due to it becoming one with the clothes. It works really good for thermal insulation though for seismic instrumentation sites.

Nero is having surgery today for a mast cell tumor.  I found it yesterday.  I guess I'm going on a payment plan at work.  

 

Sorry NOLA that your mom is being so difficult!

 

Ontarkie, hubs wants to do that here too only thankfully we have a stove vs real fireplace.   He would leave the existing chimney.

I'm telling you guys, some old brick chimneys are structural. Often they add lateral stability to a house in high wind.

I think ours are.  The one in the center of our house is also where the water heater vents into.  It has no fireplace, it was just built for venting the heating and the old fashioned stove in the kitchen.  Our furnace vents separately outside now with some modern piping.  I think that is code in Minnesota...
