So today I'm sitting around and grading ESL recordings... I love when people talk about their home countries.  One of today's topics was about the Chinese Family Violence laws that were  instituted.

Oh and someone skimmed our credit card again.  :girlwerewolf2xn:

Fooks don't abide by any laws. China really needs to be ruled by Stalin.

Well it's not wasteful if I'm not offing them just to toss em out :P

I won't be doing it anyways. I will sell them to go on doing what roosters do! Make chicks and crow to make the sun rise. (Rockadaoodle)

Enough!

You've gone chicken bonkers. No more of your chicken talk!

Go back to telling us what you're cooking!

Poor hillbilly probably hasn't had a decent hot meal since you brought the first chicken home.

He'd be better off strangling you and going to jail. At least he'd get 3 hots and a cot in the big house...

We had homemade cabbage rolls last night for supper. Not sure what for tonight. Cake and cookie is for Alabama's birthday tomorrow. She still needs to tell me what she wants for supper.

Given that a significant portion of people in town are still paying by check at retail stores.... I'd say we've got another 30-50 years before it becomes available here.

It was my husband's, so it was probably at a gas station or another restaurant swipe job.

Gas stations are a popular skimming target...

Did I ever tell you guys about the TD bank cover up?

They're the worst for ID theft and skimming. They won't cooperate with the authorities for fear that the news will affect business...this is ongoing for like 4 years now.

Wow the hill is eatin' good tonight...

I digress, the kid has a math test Monday. She says there's some things in the module that she doesn't understand. But she leaves her math book in school.

How are we supposed to see what she doesn't understand and go thru it now?

Mine is pretty much done with schoolwork for the year.  They are just wrapping up now.

We got her class list for next year and I see that they've put most of her friends in the other class.

OMG Giant COOOOOOOKIE.

Now I want cookies.

I've been making cookies lately with like 1/3 of the called for sugar and they've been turning out great.  I have no idea why I had thought that wouldn't work before.

That actually sounds like my kind of cookie. One of the reasons I have cut back on cookies, donuts, cake, etc. to about 25% of what I used to eat is the sheer amount of sugar. I found that once I cut back on all that sugar, I didn't miss it.
